We offer sites beside a vacant farm cottage and hay shed, or a choice of other areas around the farm. Campers have use of spacious, clean amenities with hot shower, toilet and vanity.

Hosts are happy to show campers around our market garden that we start cultivating after the wet season and usually continue until December - weather dependant.
Guests will have access to a portable fire place during their stay as well as a BBQ grill and hotplate. Firewood is available for purchase.
We have electricity available from the vacant cottage at $25/night. Must be booked through Extras.
Our 150acre property has spectacular mountain views, as well as views to Port Douglas and the Coral Sea. There are small creeks on the property that attract birdlife and have a variety of freshwater fish and turtles in them. Nearby there are several larger creeks for cooling off, and properties with horses, cattle and sugarcane. We are a 15min drive to Mossman, the closest town, and 45mins south to Port Douglas or north to the Daintree township. You can take a shortcut to the road to Daintree via the WWII Japanese Miallo Bombing Memorial.

The central dam is effectively the size of a small lake, creating an immediate and impressive bird habitat. We were lucky to watch Brolgas, jacannas, and other waterbirds feed and rest along its edges, offering excellent viewing.
The retreat is incredibly peaceful but remains conveniently close to the amenities in Mareeba. This provides a perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility.
Brook was a lovely host who gave excellent recommendations for local sightseeing.
Highly recommended for a peaceful stay with great birdwatching.

We loved our stay at Kingston Road farm! The view is simply spectacular and the campsite is peaceful and quiet with lovely grass area for tent setup. Toilet and shower facilities are clean, well maintained, and very easy to access. Nerida and Mick were so welcoming and generous, giving us a tour around the farm and sharing their fresh produce with us! We had the best time and will definitely be back in the future!

We had a lovely quiet time at Tonina's place. There's some history here, an old tobacco shed for starters ect...The camp-sites are big enough that we didn't have to unhitch our van. Each site has a firepit. There is 1 male and 1 female toilet and hot showers + 1 extra toilet and a laundry. Access to the Barron River is via a picturesque 2 minute meander down a path where we found a table and chairs and ended up spending a lot of time enjoying the views of crystal clear water flowing. Mesmerising. We'll be back for sure. 👍

We arrived late with no issues during our stay at Dans property, and the space was a well thought out. There were little nooks to tuck away into with our camper and close to flushing, clean toilets (what a treat!)
It rained while we were there, but this only added to the peaceful, tropical experience for what we thought was going to be a quick over night stop.

Tonina met us when we arrived. Her instructions were freindly, clear and detailed. The camp spots were a great size so we were all spread apart and we could choose from a selection of sites. The facilities were clean. Loved all the shared amenities with recycled items. There were even chairs down at the river so we had a spot to sit after swimming. Highly recommend this for camping. Relaxing and peaceful.

The Cassowary shack was magical!! A rainforest oasis which we were lucky to have all to ourselves. We had somewhere to shelter when the rain came down. It was perfect. Dan was super helpful and responsive to messages.
