Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away. We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway. It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest. Enjoy the spring fed dam in the warmer months. 🏊‍♂️ There is plenty to explore in the area, including: 🏞 Crows Nest Falls National Park (good for a swim) 🐃 Bullocky's Rest and creekside walk in Crows Nest (dog friendly) ☕️ Lovely cafes in Crows Nest (eg. Lily's Artisan and My Little Blueberry), as well as boutique stores (Nolan's Block is very popular, on the highway). We had such a wonderful stay at this glamping site! It was the perfect little getaway for me, my partner, and our dog. The tent was beautifully set up with thoughtful touches that made it feel special. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved being able to sit on the bed and watch the storm come in over the dam. The property itself was peaceful and private, with plenty of space for our dog to explore safely, which was a huge plus. The hosts were easy to communicate with and provided some fresh produce. It felt like the best mix of camping and comfort—we got to enjoy the fresh air and starry nights but still had the luxuries of a proper bed, hot shower, and a few creature comforts. Would definitely recommend to couples (and dog owners!) looking for a relaxing escape. Also, when they say all you need to bring is an Esky with your food, that really is it! Everything is there. Amazing!

We stayed in a 12 bed cabin with access to amenities block and camp kitchen. Perfect to keep out of 2 degree winter and still enjoy a campfire each night with our kids. Kangaroos every morning and afternoon to watch chew on the grass. Family time, no screen time....no internet. Great place to unwind. Dog friendly on a leash. We loved the serenity.

We had an amazing time. The animals were so friendly and visits from the dogs Spud and Willow were loved by my son. Very private and immaculate. The cabin has every thing you need! We had a group with some of us in tents. There was plenty of room. The kids loved feeding and playing with the animals. The views was amazing!! We will be back
