Great to meet Anthia &. Grahame - great hosts and friendly- lovely wide open paddock to camp on and no one else around - will never go back to a caravan park again

Stayed overnight on this rural setting where greeted by Anthea who offered us a fire pit with wood to burn - great start to the evening as sun was soon to set. The sunset was amazing. Loved the wide open space. Rustic but functional toilets & shower available. Was quiet. About 5km dirt road to property but managed fine towing 20ft van.

Very beautifil scenary, lots of open space, fruit trees and beautiful green grass. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the toilet/shower facilities were very clean.

Forest Fields Camp stay was a beautiful well maintained camp with luscious grass and plenty of room with nice level campsites. It was very private and we felt very safe. This camp is a credit to Shayne and Melissa.

Antheas was welcoming and friendly. The site was flat with open space to enjoy the view. I truly enjoyed being amongst the sheep.

A friendly welcome apon arrival which was lovely. Walking through the property amongst the goats, horses or simply by yourself was super with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The area where you camp was nicely level and a feeling of being a part of the family on a farm is the take away you get 😉 as you are amongst the farm houses and machinery. A big thank you to Anthea xx Not to far a drive from highway and telstra internet was great too.

Beautiful location , peaceful. Short walk to the creek and have sport equipment / canoe for the kids / family. Anna & Wayne were both friendly and produce delicious food from the kitchen.

Beautiful gardens and surroundings, great campsites with fire pits, toilet and shower ammenities well maintained and lovely to use. Entry and exit points well thought out with being seperate. Pool area extremely inviting would definitely return to Ferns 😊

Loved our stay. We were in camp spot 21, which was beautiful and shaded in all directions. We mate use of the pool and cl kid loved it. We cooked on the camp fire and borrowed utensils as w didn't have our own cooking stuff. Lovely place.

This was an amazing place to sit back, relax and unwind from day to day busy life. A good place to reset. We would come here again. Such a beautiful place set among the rainforest. Loved that our dogs were welcome too.

Set up your camp on a peaceful and private bush location just minutes from the Byfield National Park and State Forest. This paid campground offers toilets, bucket showers and drinking water. Yes, we’re dog friendly, we love pets but please ensure your furry friends are on lead and for the comfort of others please don’t leave your pet if you go touring ( we recommend a great boarding kennels that’s only about 20mins away)!! Fires are allowed with fire wood available for purchase (or bring your own). Generators are ok, daylight hours only. The site is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, caravans and tents. Maximum stay two weeks - Bookings Essential Forest Fields Campstay is a quiet natural bush site, a base to relax or explore local Forests and National parks and other unique attractions. FLORA and FAUNA This area is home of the Great Imperial Fruit Dove [or Wompoo Pigeon] and the unique Byfield Fern [Bowenia Serralata]. Byfield Campstay is situated on the “migratory trail”, meaning that different birds are always passing through. A wide variety of native wild life may be seen – wallabies, bandicoots, bush turkeys and reptiles. THE FARM – “MIDDLE EARTH” Originally a citrus orchard, Beth and Chris (previous owners) decided to diversify. They planted Quandong and Byfield Pine trees for timber, and we now have many varieties of fruit trees including sapotes, sapodillas, grumachumas, jaboticabas, jackfruit, avocadoes and bananas. Casuarina Park is a 640 acre working property situated 10.3km off the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland between Gladstone and Rockhampton. Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)
