Welcome to High Valley Dawn, a 140-acre nature sanctuary near Yeppoon on the beautiful Capricorn Coast. Our campground is set within a working permaculture farm, where organic gardens, orchards, food forests, wildlife corridors and ocean breezes create a peaceful, regenerative space to slow down and reconnect. Camp among native bushland, birdsong and open skies. The campground is spacious, private, and immersed in nature with easy access to our eco amenities including compost toilets, LPG hot showers, communal wash-up area, and farm walking trails. This is a low-impact, nature-based campground designed for travellers who value simplicity, serenity and sustainability. During your stay, wander through our bush tucker food forest, meet our farm animals, explore the gardens, or book a self-guided audio tour to uncover the stories behind our regenerative farming systems. On clear nights, enjoy our famous stargazing skies — far from town lights and framed by rolling hills and ocean air. We’re only minutes from Yeppon town centre, the Capricorn Coast beaches, and walking tracks, yet the property feels secluded and peaceful. You can also add a Farm Tour, join seasonal activities, or stay in one of our tiny homes if you’d like a more luxurious upgrade. High Valley Dawn is family-friendly, and grounded in respect for the land and its traditional custodians, the Darumbal people. We ask all campers to tread lightly, respect wildlife, and leave no trace. If you’re seeking a quiet, spacious, sustainably-run campground with big skies, rich nature, and a warm atmosphere, you’ll feel at home here. A great out of the way gem very close to town. Lots of space. Looks like then facilities are being built, so if your off grid capable and need a place to stay it’s a great option

We stayed for two nights at High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm and really enjoyed many aspects of the experience. It’s a genuine working farm, and meeting Ross was easily the highlight of our stay. He has an incredible depth of knowledge about permaculture and farming and was extremely generous with his time, happily sharing his experience and answering our questions. It was fascinating to learn from someone so passionate about what he does. The campsite itself is set in a peaceful bushland setting, making it a quiet and relaxing place to unwind. Unfortunately, the facilities were by far the worst we’ve ever encountered while camping. The showers were filthy, had serious drainage problems, and looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained in a very long time. The composting toilet emptied into a wheelie bin, which we understand is part of an off-grid setup, but the cleanliness was unacceptable. Throughout our stay there was consistently faecal matter left on the toilet seat, making it genuinely unpleasant to use. We don’t mind rustic camping at all, but there’s a big difference between basic facilities and facilities that are unhygienic and neglected. It’s a real shame because the farm, the setting, and Ross himself were fantastic. If the amenities were brought up to even a basic standard of cleanliness and maintenance, this would easily be a five-star stay.

A very spacious place to camp. Very chill, relaxing spot under the stars. Super convenient location but far enough away for the peace and quiet. Dogs and puppies were a highlight.

Absolutely beautiful stay! They had such a warm welcome for us and explained all aspects of the farm wonderfully! Despite being helpful and friendly, we felt like the stay was very intimate and private.

Beautiful property
Blue Gum Sanctuary
Ryko and Russ have a beautiful little farm. We met the puppies, piglets, dogs and horses they keep on the farm and all were very friendly. There is a great sunset lookout at the top of the hill with 360 views of Yeppoon and the surrounding beaches. Ryko went the extra mile to make us feel at home and comfortable. Thank you!!
