We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. Coorie Vale is a 100-acre working cattle and horse property on Mt Mee, within an hour drive from the Sunshine Coast or just over an hour from Brisbane. We have a tranquil camp area on Bungo Creek flats, great for families to enjoy nature, and a beautiful private site on the Ridge, with expansive, peaceful views.  The creek campsites have easy access to the toilets and non-potable water.  Coorie Vale is perfect for nature lovers and adventurers - go rock hopping exploring the creek and relax under the stars around the campfire.  It is steep country down to the creek, so a 4WD is an absolute must. Please note, if there is lots of rain, the track to the creek can get very muddy and difficult. If access is compromised due to weather, there are alternative spaces you can set up camp. We accept tent and 4WD camper trailers only, please no caravans or motorhomes. Our property is dog-friendly, keeping in mind it is a working cattle property.  Children under 12 stay free. Please still add them to your booking so we can monitor numbers, they will not be charged. Over Christmas, Coorie Vale is a great spot to base yourself for the Woodford Folk Festival (15-minute drive).

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

A great place to spend the weekend. As a camping spot, it ticks all the boxes, well cared for sites, shady areas, a running creek for dips, fire places, great toilets and the best part is Tony is a great host and very accommodating. Do it, book it in! For those with campers and hybrids, the creek sites are doable, but make sure you know what you are doing as the drive out is steep and loose.

Nice and peaceful property. Stayed near the dam, there is a road nearby but no traffic at all. Grass was maintained, not too long. Porta loo’s very very clean (probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen tbh). Handy little camp kitchen area. Owners were very friendly too

We had the best time! The camping spot it’s really pretty, with a running creek and very well kept toilets. Despite being a few campsites in the same spot it was still quiet and private. Tony was a great host, came to check on us a few times. The drive down to the campsite is really steep, we were lucky with the weather but definitely I would be careful if you have a trailer on a rainy day. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

Camping at Tony’s property was amazing! He was super friendly and very accommodating. The views are stunning and it was awesome to wake up to cows and calves grazing nearby. Would love to return!
