When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take. Drive up to the sign and call number on sign. Please wait for staff member to come out and greet you in your car.

Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required.

Nice and peaceful. And safe. And very nice countryside and getting at one with nature and animals. And good hosts too.
And the hosts brilliant on top of any potential issues and you can enjoy your space and relax surrounded by animals and nature.
I find it great I have my space and their no issues. And whilst the amenitys aren't five star fancy they are just as good if not better. The shower itself here five times better than the park I use to be in. Big shower head and hot water. The park I use to be in no hot water half the time and a fancy door mean nothing when the water cold. The farm have the comforts you need. And nice landscape to relax and enjoy. And it's a great place to be. And IV invested in the only thing not here. A portable washer for my clothes.

We had such a wonderful stay at Rob’s place!
From the moment we arrived, Rob made us feel welcome and at ease. He’s an amazing human being, very kind and easy-going. One of the highlights was definitely feeding the animals with Rob, which I highly recommend. It was such a unique and memorable experience.
The facilities are excellent as well. The toilets were spotless, and the hot shower were perfect after a day outdoors. Everything was clean, well maintained, and clearly looked after with care.
We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and grateful for the experience. Thank you Rob for your hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful stay! We stayed here for the Tiny House Expo (which was fantastic by the way!) and this location was great because you were a short drive to the middle of town, but you also felt away enough to enjoy the scenic farm escape. So many farm animals to feed and enjoy, plenty of space on your site (we were also there on an off season and we had the place to ourselves so we’re spoilt for choice with space), close in location to showers and toilet, and of course the hosts (Rob) were so lovely and kind. Definitely recommend the Chookhouse stay, and will stay there again next time I’m in Toowoomba!

Great little spot for our Easter family get together. Kids loved feeding the farm animals and learning about them. Mrs Piggy was a big highlight.
Toilets were fine, our shower didn't have hot water but it wasn't a big issue. Close enough to town to run up and get things we forgot. Overall we really enjoyed joyed our stay.

"5/5 stars! We had an absolute blast camping at this incredible 135-year-old hut. The surroundings were picturesque, with lovely views and a serene atmosphere. What really made our stay special, though, were the friendly cows that wandered by to say hello! Despite being near a road, the noise was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy nature. The hut itself added a unique touch to our camping experience. We can't recommend this spot enough - it's a must-visit for any camping enthusiast!

We love the campsite at Chookhouse Farmstay! The place is perfect for camping. The grass is at excellent conditions and it is very spacious. Although we arrived a little late to feed the animals, they made a booking for us and they allowed us to feed the animals. It was a wonderful experience! We needed a break from work and University and the place was perfect for that! All the people were very kind. We will definitely come back😊
