Weekend Trip to Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin & Camp

This is the second time we camped at Kerry's land. Site 1 is private and secluded, next to a crystal clear creek. Site 1 is better than site 2, which is in direct sight of the campers on the other site of the creek.

We had a great camp at site 5. Well kept campsite with a lot of flat grassy spots to set up the tent. It was definitely the most private site with a great view of the creek. We will definitely be back!

We were unlucky to arrive when it was raining so we couldn’t get a real feel for the property. As it rained all night we decided to leave early and not have our 2nd night there as we couldn’t light the fire and the leeches were biting us and our dog so we thought it best to revisit Stuart’s property another time when we can make full use of it all. We will be back 👍

Weekend Trip to Amorata Eco Farm

A fantastic place to slow down and relax - just far enough from the rest of the world for some peace and quiet, while close enough to have anything you could possibly need within reach. We were relieved to hear that the tiny home was accessible with a sedan, and charmed by how cozy the cabin was - the addition of the sauna and pool tying it all together for a stay to come back for. Of course, none of this would have been possible without Stu, who was a wonderful host and warm, friendly person.

We had an awesome stay for Easter. Stuart was a great and friendly host. We weren't set up too close to other campers. there was a nice bit of space to run around in. Sushi was a lovely addition to the family stay (Miss Sushi is Stuarts dog). Being the period of time we were at, it was very dewy over night, so don't leave stuff out, or it will get wet lol. Be mindful of ticks. We had both adult males find one on each of them. Will definitely love to go back at some point in the future. We were a set up of a camper van and tent and had plenty of room, views were gorgeous and seeing black cockatoos was a bonus.

I loved staying here. So close to some little towns to go exploring. Stuart was lovely and gave us some history about his property. The camp spots are a good distance from other sites that you feel like you have the place to yourself. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic camping spot at Christmas Creek! Kerry gave us very clear instructions so arriving in the evening with no reception was very easy. Beautiful camp site with the most friendly cows we’ve ever met! Definitely recommend!!

Gorgeous campsite (site 1) next to a running creek. Site was flat and shady and good separation and privacy from the next site. If you in a tent take a shovel - the cows leave a few welcoming presents 😊. Beautiful property, well maintained and highly recommended.

Beautiful grassy campsite next the a lovely crystal clear creek. Camp 5 is quite far away from the other campsites so you have lots of privacy to enjoy nature.

The cabin was very cozy. It showed very high workmanship with a lot of mariner influence on Kerry’s behalf of being a boat builder a very skilful man very particular would recommend it to anybody and definitely be coming back thank you.

Very peaceful and a beautiful creek that is excellent for swimming. The camp-sites are very well separated. There are plenty of friendly cows around who will certainly come over to say hello in the mornings. Very calm and quiet. Loved it!

Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather No pets please.

Amorata Eco Farm is a working sustainable farm with basic camping facilities located in Barkers Vale. We are within easy reach of a number of walking tracks. We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches.Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers.There are a range of campsites available from the edge of the forest down to creek front sites (4WD only) and in the Pecan orchard. Please check by prior email during the wet season for specific access requirements. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided, pending there is no fire restrictions.
