My family and I stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter break. We had so much space and the kids had so much fun exploring. It was peaceful and the sound of the running creek was magic. Loved that we could have camp fires and there was wifi at the pool for the teenagers 🙄 we will definitely stay again.

We found ShortStump ranch to be a delightful place to stay in our caravan in the area while visiting family. When we moved to an AirBnB for the long weekend in order to share with other family members, we opted to park up here before returning for another stay at this Hipcamp.

Beautifully mown flat sites, we really appreciate a clean grassy site as we have kids. Access to all vehicles. Horses, chickens on site, great for kids to go and chat to. Lots of room to move and play. 6 mins away from Qld Raceway and entrance to the scenic Rim. Excellent spot.

2 nights at Shortstump Ranch

We love tent camping, we especially loved tent camping at scribbly gum, we have gone a few times to other places that have electricity. But this time we went and decided to do no electricity. It was peaceful and nice, the grass was so soft and easy to set up our site and the area is clean and tidy. The directions were very easy to get to and Paula was already there helping guide us to our spot. Being Easter weekend I was very surprised there were only two people near us and they were quiet and didn't stay long. Paula was very welcoming and loved our kids and was very happy to have them around her animals. She showed us around her home and then gave us a quick guide around the area which was very helpful Waking up to chickens in the morning was something i was very used to when I was a little girl so it unlocked a beautiful core memory of mine with my late father passing away. And I loved sharing that memory with my kids.

We only had a one night stop over on our way to Moreton island Paula was an exceptional host going above and beyond, great stop lots of thing within close proximity and only 30mins to the Moreton Island barge. Definitely will be back on our next trip.

Firstly, just in the back of my mind, was 1 review that I read before electing to book anyway. And on arrival, nothing about the poor review made any sense! I would simply disregard it. Paula greeted us on arrival to show us our site - HillHead. Very welcoming and gracious. The grounds where the sites are spread out are green, grassy, level and treed. One magnificent Iron Bark tree towers in a corner. We looked out our back window to see that tree in the morning! Parking up offered a bit of free styling with access to power and water. We were joined by one other caravan but were spaced well apart. No park lights at night to contend with, just peace and quiet. The birdlife, of course, greeted us in the morning from the trees, as well as the geese in the yard as we moved through later the morning. Paula’s 2 border collies were sweet as. and the chickens were curious as I did some mat exercises after 3 long days in the car. Did not officially meet the gentle goat. Even the bathroom facilities included nice personal touches like as toothbrushes in case you forgot yours! We have already booked to come back! Thank you, Paula.

Another great stay at Ecoasis! I was treated to the calls of yellow-tailed black cockatoos who flew in to roost in the tail trees. The views of fog-shrouded Wollumbin were spectacular and gave way in the morning to a glorious rainbow across the mountain. The site was tidy and the bathrooms were clean. The hot outdoor shower was perfect! Will definitely be back.

We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm. All overseen and kept in order by the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers. Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings. The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available. We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals.
