The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles.Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland.We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash.We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle.We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Ruben One Hill under the gum trees, or enjoy our massive 10 metre deck over the water and watch the wildlife float around.
There is also a great spot to watch the kangaroos coming for a drink and to lay under the trees. The most exciting part is, you could get lucky and see a Koala sitting in a gumtree beside your vehicle. The Chookhouse is situated approximately 20 minutes south of Toowoomba on 23 acres.
Please note that there are other dogs and animals long our road.
We also have grain trains that pass by throughout the day and night.
When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take.

We can also accommodate long term rentals. Please contact us for further information. If possible, we would prefer self-contained set ups; however not essential.
AMENITIES
Uni-sex amenity block with hot water and flushing toilets for those booked in Pepperina.
Top Paddock power, Top Paddock unpowered and Paddock Camp we have gas showers (preset temperature for the safety of children). It will not be a hot shower like you have at home, however you will get clean.
There are also pit toilets in the camp areas.
In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins.
PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE.

Plenty of room for self-contained caravans/motorhomes and places to pitch a tent or camper.

You get to meet camels, cows, pigs, alpacas, Boer goats Dorper Sheep, a multitude of chickens, geese, peacocks and guinea fowl.

Safe place to leave your gear while out exploring the Darling Downs and surrounds.
Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required.

Set on 35 acres on the banks of Charley Creek, it has a beautiful bush land setting adjacent to the creek. A truly tranquil experience.
Recently rebranded the name to Charleys Creek Campgrounds as it is more fitting, as there is no clover, not much of a hill, and not in America (Ranch). This will also tie in with our other entities - Charleys Creek Beef and Charleys Creek Brewing.
We have a number of projects on the go and planned for the Charleys Creek entities to make every stay a unique and authentic experience. "Not just a campgrounds, its the experience". You are welcome to visit us, get to know us, and be part of our journey.
This campground offers toilets, showers, access to potable water, and power hook ups. Open fire pits, and fire wood available. It is a dog friendly property.
The story of Clover Hill Ranch-
In 2019 our livestock enterprise was struggling with the ongoing drought. Water was getting very low and we were buying hay from Victoria.
One day while checking stock on our grazing property Bradys (adjacent to Clover Hill Ranch) we looked across the near dry creek and said to each other - if we are going to endure this drought we need to do something different.
So we were able to acquire Clover Hill Ranch which was then being run by the CMCA under a lease agreement to the then owners. Then Covid struck and the CMCA left Clover Hill Ranch.
So we took it on ourselves and it has been a journey managing our four farming blocks Riverleigh; Coleridge; The Shanti and Bradys as well as Clover Hill Ranch.
Fast forward and it is now April 2021 we absolutely love it;
enjoy chatting with Campers about our story and we have even organised a Farm Tour route through all of our properties. The feedback has been amazing.
We are continuously doing improvements to Clover Hill Ranch with many new Powered Sites with town water and new campsites right on the creek. And everyone loves it when we bring out our trailer mounted meat smoker to put on a smoked Wagyu feast!
Campers can purchase our Wagyu and Grassfed Angus beef to try while camping and can even buy some to take home.
Activities available at Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla:
include camping; fishing; kayaking; motorbike riding; bird watching
and bush walking.
There is accessibility for RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Pull through bays available. Camping in tents is allowed. It is walking distance to Chinchilla town centre and Lions playground. Farm tours available upon request. Bookings preferable in advance to avoid disappointment.
