Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs, however, we CAN still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way. The road closure is another 10+ klms further down the road. There are many national parks and interesting walks nearby as well as shops and all the facilities in the attractive country towns of Murwillumbah, Nimbin, and Uki. Many beaches including Byron Bay, and the gold coast are nearby. Wollumbin (Mt Warning) and Mebbin national parks, are in in our immediate area for you to enjoy.

You will be amazed by the panoramic views of the mountains in the distance and the magic gardens surrounding the homestead. Be entertained by the visiting kangaroos and wallabies who come to feed nearby. We are a young at heart couple who are willing to introduce you to an attractive rural lifestyle. Our gardens provide a perfect haven for many native birds and animals. We have an easy access camping area, games room, and amenities available in house. You can set up camp in one of the private camping areas and enjoy the views. Unfortunately due to wildlife considerations we are unable to accept pets. Campfires are permitted and we can host groups. There are many national parks and interesting walks nearby as well as shops and all the facilities in the attractive country towns of Murwillumbah, Nimbin, and Uki. Many beaches including Byron Bay, and the gold coast are nearby. Wollumbin (Mt Warning) and Mebbin national parks, are in in our immediate area for you to enjoy.

A beautiful spot above a little flowing creek. Nice and flat with some shady areas. Shower/toilet not too far away. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and communal area where you can relax and charge phones etc. The lovely lady filling in for Peter and Jannine (sorry, I didn't get your name!) was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Both myself and my dog felt very welcome and comfortable. I would definitely stay again :-)

This place is a true haven of peace. I can only recommend staying here for one or several nights. Nature and all the sounds that come with it are countless, creating a truly delightful auditory experience. I was so happy to be able to light a fire while watching the sunset gently illuminate the mountains. The shower and toilets at my campsite were very clean. I loved being able to cook my breakfast on the gas stove in the morning. As I didn’t have a camping stove, it was a real pleasure to enjoy a freshly cooked, hot breakfast. I highly recommend going for a swim and enjoying the refreshing coolness of the water if you get the chance. A big THANK YOU. This place is truly rejuvenating. I really needed it.

Janine was super friendly and accomodating. The place is beautiful, it has large flat sites and I think is a very reasonable price for power and water. Quiet mid week with just two other campers there. Trains do go past across the road through the night, but I just shut my window on that side and it didn't bother me.
