Previously the property was a cattle farm and piggery owned by the same family and passed down the generations. More recently about 20 years ago it was rented to a builder who had a saw mill operating here. We purchased the property about 5 years ago with plans of creating Estate Lodges Caravan & Camping.
Our pet-friendly property offers unpowered sites for campers to enjoy all this area has to offer. Explore our bush walking tracks, enjoy some bird watching and see what wildlife you can spot! Your evenings can be spent around supplied fire pits gazing at the stars. We have drinks & firewood for sale, coffee and hot chocolate.
Please note, access to power may be possible to arrange, at an additional cost. If you require power, please let us know when you send through your booking request and we can advise further.
There is access nearby to horse riding, hot air ballooning and skydiving. We are also closely located to Canungra golf course.

The property is a 300 acre working farm with horses, cattle and a friendly dog named Wal. Campers are welcome to explore the many walking tracks on the property as well as the bordering national park.
Just a 800 metres from Clarrie Hall Dam, spend your days picnicking and paddling amongst the stunning scenery. The dam is stocked with Australian Bass for a fun day's fishing.
Take a 5 minute drive to Uki a township where you will find an abundance of arts and crafts, weekend markets and a host of alternative/natural therapy practitioners. You'll reach the larger town of Murwillumbah in just 15 minutes and the famous Byron Bay in under an hour.
Explore the nearby Northern Rivers Rail Trail - 24km of trail through working farms, lush rainforest, wide bridges and original train tunnels.

Amazing, quiet little part of Tweed Valley.
We would definitely come again. Our dog was happy. We could rinse off and enjoy the creek, though it was low with no rain for a while. The sunset walk was the best part.

Beautiful location that was easy to find and the facilities were amazing. We had a powered site for a caravan and it had everything easily accessible. We brought dogs and tucked ourselves in a corner and had just an amazing time. Value for money and the view is to die for. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, very well maintained, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We stayed with 4 adults, one baby, and our dog, and everything was perfect for our group.
We absolutely loved the views and the overall vibe such a special place to relax and enjoy nature. Due to the hot weather, we asked to change from the mountain spot to the river, and they were more than happy to help and make it happen, which we really appreciated.
We truly had the time of our lives and will definitely be coming back many more times. Highly recommend!

Massive campsites, so you're not on top of one another, yes they are pricey and not for everyone, but worth it if you want the space, peace and quiet, the ground's are immaculate, and what's not to love camping beside a creek.

A great little campground near the creek. I felt a little disoriented by the signage as there didn’t seem to be any signs saying “Tyalgum Showgrounds” but I trusted google and I arrived safely and at the time I expected. The office staffer was super friendly despite being pulled pillar to post. Check-in was simple since I paid via Hipcamp. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot! The dump point saved me some extra kms on the way home, too! The grassy camp site was perfect for having my doggos with me (extra glad the mowing was done a week prior so most of the cuttings had blown away).

This Property was one of the most pristine and well looked after properties! It definitely felt like a high end camping experience. We had the most relaxing weekend and the hosts were so great with help and communication.
Loved that we could buy eggs straight from the chickens 🙌🏼

It's a great spot and we had a lovely weekend. Minutes from Uki town, the pub, Clarrie Hall Dam, awesome swim at Byrill Creek down the road.
A couple of things were a little annoying so have to provide an balanced review.
I advised Bob we had "two large caravans and five little kids" and at his suggestion booked the lower spot next to the creek. Zero chance our 22 foot vans were getting down/up the hill. Suitable for offroad campers only. Luckily another group had arrived at the same time and were happy to swap. Couldn't get Bob on the phone but he called back an hour later and was very apologetic (genuinely seems a very nice guy).
So we setup in Upper Windmill instead (paddock above the creek). Clearly the paddock hadn't been mowed in weeks - grass was a foot tall, which wasn't the best for our little kids to run around and play. Also no firewood on site but I should have asked earlier. The road is not intrusive at all - it's a quiet road with only local cars and dam visitors driving past.
In summary, would still recommend. Better communication would have avoided some stress upon our arrival and check the paddock has been recently mowed.

The Tyalgum Camp Grounds is lovely.
Beautiful grassed areas and lovely clean amenities. Easy access to Tyalgum Village and pub is a plus.
A close by fruit bat colony is fascinating. However, the noise and aroma might be of putting for some.
I suggest camper check for bat droppings on vehicles each morning as the acidity of the droppings can damage duck.

Very private site on other side of the creek. Had a lovely quiet time. Lots of birds and insects to see. Close enough to Canungra if need supplies!
Dave was lovely and helpful!
Only thing I would reccomend is a shelf in the showers for toiletries!!! 🤣
