So please advise me of your vehicle type in your booking. - Small low profile tyres, sedans and hatchbacks will struggle - Motor-homes and large campervans cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather) - AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems. Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. We are an accommodation camping ground within Crystal Waters Eco Village which is also a Wildlife Sanctuary. NOTE: No Dogs or Cats allowed. Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. The property is a short 5 min drive from the Kirkleigh boat ramp and 20 min drive from the spit. If booking the Ski Shack you have most of the comforts of home in the spacious open plan living, with a bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of room to park your boats, trailers, and caravans. The kids can run around and play till they are exhausted. The courtesy bus from the Exchange Hotel will pick you up and drop you off Friday and Sat nights,(check before hand). You will need to take your rubbish with you when you leave. Fires only in the supplied enclosed fire pits. Fire wood is sold at various locations not far from the property. Gate code will be provided after booking is confirmed. For those camping or caravanning, there is power available for all the luxuries you may need weather camping or in your RV. Welcome to GG's Ranch & Retreat Camping area, a unique farm escape on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Is is the perfect place to base yourself and explore all the beauty that the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. We currently only offer one campsite so you will have plenty of space and privacy during your stay. There is a number of walking tracks on the property and a large billabong where you can enjoy swimming and other water activities. There are Geese who often visit the property who you are welcome to greet and feed. We also have an abundance of bird and wildlife who visit the property and have even been lucky enough to spot a Platypus in the billabong. Our property is home to a number of Horses and we offer Horse based activities for an additional cost (see our extras) so you can meet them and learn some basic horse riding skills. We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 30 minutes to Noosa main beach.  The site has power and water for your use but you are required to supply your own camping toilet (Please note if you arrive without a toilet you will be asked to leave) and remove all rubbish waste on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. Please keep your site clean and tidy and respect the natural environment and animals at all times.

I needed a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city and Jimna Base Camp was the absolute perfect location! Spotlessly clean amenities and plenty of room. Peace and tranquility, surrounded by trees and birds! Pete’s hospitality was 5 star, and I absolutely loved my time there! Gorgeous bush walks, swims in the creek, chats over coffee with the locals all adds to the appeal! Will definitely be back!

We had a great 3 nights staying at the Shack and it was incredible and will be a memorable one for all of us including little kids. It was very comfortable stay for us. This property had everything ( except stove in kitchen but bbq setup outside), including a lot of toys for kids to play. We will visit again this place in the future during Spring season. My family and i absolutely loved our stay at GG's ranch. We spent four nights over the Christmas period. The cottages were clean and rustic. Large modern bathroom was a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped to cook up our Christmas feast. Our grandson and pets loved the wide open spaces. One of our highlights was sitting on the deck each morning and watching the many black cockatoos flying over. We would love to return one day.

The facilities are very well kept, and having access to a full shower/toilet block as well as an undercover kitchen makes this a very comfortable stay. We had the park almost to ourselves for the stay, which was lovely. The campsites are close together but a small group would be able to have a decent size if taking multiple spots, with some distinct upper and lower areas. Individual campers may find people are very close by if it is a busy/packed time. The campsite is also attached or part of a commune, so there is a strong community vibe which could be either a pleasant experience or a turnoff for some folk if they are not comfortable with occasionally stopping and having a chat with those who live in the same vicinity. We didn't have the opportunity to look around the area much as while there are walks around, it was too hot to do so in December. However, the campsite was regularly visited by friendly wallabies and roos, and there were plenty of photo opportunities with the animals lounging around. A nice place and the easy access to proper shower/toilets is a great bonus.

We had an amazing stay at this property and would highly recommend it. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative from the start. You get the entire site to yourself, with no need to share the space with anyone other than those travelling with you, which made the stay feel very special. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into the space. The property is absolutely picturesque and stunning—very private and secluded, yet still felt safe and peaceful. Having access to a toilet and shower was perfect, giving us the comfort of modern amenities while still enjoying the outdoors. Hearing the kookaburras at dusk was an absolute highlight and really added to the magic of the experience. We would definitely stay again
