You’ll be sharing the property with four sheep, three silky chickens, two cheeky geese, and a friendly alpaca — plus our three young boys. There is a bathroom (cold water only) and small kitchenette available up at the "shed". A fire pit is available for your use, with plenty of firewood available. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash due to the farm animals and surrounding conservation area. Please make sure you always shut the gate when coming and going to prevent our sheep wondering off the farm. Please note that the dam is more for scenery than swimming.

The moment I arrived, all I could say was “wow” — the view was absolutely insane!!! Cooking and eating while looking at such a breathtaking view was truly the best part of the experience. Right after setting up the tarp, a heavy downpour started, but thanks to the beautiful scenery, everything still felt perfectly okay. It would have been an absolutely perfect place if it hadn’t rained! I came alone with my dog, but the place was far too beautiful to enjoy by myself, so I will definitely come back again with friends. Wendy was incredibly kind and very helpful with clear directions. I went to see the sunrise on New Year’s morning. It rained throughout the night, and the sun was partially hidden behind the clouds, but I still got to see the first sunrise of 2026 — it was such a happy and memorable experience.

Craig was very kind and helpful with getting me into the musings of Brisbane by Ferry. Water is there. Power for those who need it. It is a safe place and the highway can be heard at night, but not felt. So, when I need a place within Brisbane again, I believe this is an affordable Option for some days.

We had such a wonderful stay at Highland Retreat. Kenny met us when we arrived and gave clear directions to our site — such a friendly and helpful welcome! The grounds were recently mowed and really well maintained, making it easy to set up and enjoy. The views were absolutely stunning — wide open and completely unobstructed. We especially loved having the horses in the paddock next to us; it added such a peaceful and country charm to the stay. 1 night at Belmont Base Camp

This camp close to motorway which was great for us to get our running around done. It is a large grassy block with a lovely breeze. The block is utilised to store some other vans but we were the only campers at the time. We really appreciated the early check in and late check out. Having access to power and water made it a great spot to recharge before we continued on our way. Most places we looked at in Brisbane had a minimum 2 -3 night stay and at least twice the price.

We stayed at Campsite 1 for our first trip with our 18m old and dog and it was brilliant! Hosts are super friendly and the views are second to none! Will be back again!
