Stay at our 26 acres in beautiful Berry Springs. The property offers plenty of tall trees for shade and space to pitch a tent or park a caravan, motor home or camper, and enjoy a campfire in a pit. Campers MUST be self-contained, with their own camp toilet. No waste disposal on site. No shower facilities The block is within a short 3km distance to Berry Springs Nature Park, a popular swimming hole also shops, a pharmacy, doctors, hardware store, petrol station and tavern. We have friendly cows and donkeys to pat and lots of bird life to see or photograph. Power and water can be made available. You are welcome to collect fallen timber for firewood from the property.

Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central. With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site. We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent. All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee. All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off. There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up. There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night. Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home.

Secure fencing for dog (all dogs must have a tick collar, be vaccinated and well mannered. Dog must be cleaned up after).

We have since developed the property, purchased livestock and introduced more fruit and veg plants and trees to maintain a ‘sustainable living’ lifestyle. Nestled near the rear of the property and the chook and goose yard. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. There is a tidal river accessible by walking track at the rear or drive or bike ride to the boat ramp down the road for more serious fishing. The property is located 25 minutes from Humpty Doo and 45 Minutes from Darwin.

This was a beautiful spot to stay. A little oasis of greenery, with a lovely shade campsite and grass to pitch our tent on. There was a great bathroom set up with toilet and shower which was very clean and well kept. Andrew and Michelle were amazing hosts. They checked in on us daily and were more than happy to help or answer questions. They even provided our 2yo with toys to entertain her at camp! The peacocks were a real hit with our little one, she is still talking about them 2 weeks later! I highly recommend this stay.

Peaceful location and was greeted by two adorable Beagles. Nicely out of the way of the main house so we didn’t feel like we were encroaching on the owners property. Brilliant water pressure when we hooked up and power was easily accessible (extension cord available if needed). Best part, it was only 3km from Berry Springs and 1.5km from the shops. Oh, the donkey was cute as hell and loved nose scratches.

Michelle, thank you so much for having us! It was such a wholesome experience for our family to be on your property. The kids absolutely loved the animals, and it was so special that your family puts in the time to come down with carrots to feed the animals. My kids loved it. My daughter absolutely fell in love with your horse and it’s looking like life is going to get expensive for us when we get home as she now wants one 🐴 perfect location, so close to the springs. Couldn’t have asked for more 🙌

Weekend Trip to Top Camp

Amanda and Pete have created a prefect little getaway that is fully fenced. So if you are lucky enough to have the place to yourself, you can let the doggos or kids run. Very well maintained grounds, lush grass and fruit trees. About an acre of space to relax with a new bathroom block incl 1 toilet and 1 shower. Power and water available. Amanda and Pete's pigs, cows and chickens are only a stone throw away which adds to the Territory experience. We will definitely be back and looking forward to the next stay!

This was an incredible Hipcamp! Family host were extremely accommodating and allowed the kids to help feed chooks, donkey Maggie, the herd of cows and horse Stormy. They have the sweetest pups! Brilliant location, so close to Berry Springs, Berry Springs tavern and the Wildlife park. Highly recommend.
