The weather is warm and the site behind our pool is a nice space to be!
It is lovely to be in a space where you are the only camper! The tropical gardens provide privacy and abundant bird life. The property is safe and secluded in the rural suburb of Virginia.
We are situated in the Darwin Rural area on 5 acres of bush land with tropical gardens and a saltwater swimming pool.
There is a variety of bird life, lizards, frogs, and possums. You can feed our friendly butcher birds and King Fishers on the fly from our verandah or pool area. Sit with the fish pond and chat with the turtle who is very shy!
We have dogs that live at the property so pets on application only. (we do have a dog cage available if required and can pet sit for a day if required )
We have caravan sites for fully self-contained caravans and unpowered sites in the horse yard. There is a single shower / toilet block available at the top of the driveway.
We do have power to some sites, and we would appreciate it if you do not leave air conditioners running while you are off site.
If you are travelling in a group, we can accommodate you in a large open area if your group would like to stay together. Each caravan site has its own fireplace for your use.
Only 5 minutes from Palmerston or Coolalinga, 25 minutes from Darwin CBD.
If you are looking for a local fishing tour, we can hook you up with the locals.
We have many fishing and crabbing locations close by on the Elizabeth River, Middle Arm or around Darwin Harbour.
Local Fred's Pass Food and Craft Markets are open Saturday and Wednesday night music and food

The camp area was perfect. The use of the pool was a bonus. Because of the time of year we needed power for Aircon. This caused a few brownouts. The caretaker was very responsive and reset the power every time we asked. Thanks again 10/10

“The Gap” is a nice little spot amongst the trees. It has a very slight slope (which didn’t worry us in our RTT). The setting is natural and rustic but the amenities are modern and comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay at Strangy’s.

Rum Jungle Ridge was great! Peaceful and quiet, had the place to ourselves. We only had 1 X caravan and a couple of camper trailers but sites 1 & 2 had plenty of room for a larger group. The dogs loved it too! We'll be going back.

Peaceful location and was greeted by two adorable Beagles. Nicely out of the way of the main house so we didn’t feel like we were encroaching on the owners property. Brilliant water pressure when we hooked up and power was easily accessible (extension cord available if needed). Best part, it was only 3km from Berry Springs and 1.5km from the shops. Oh, the donkey was cute as hell and loved nose scratches.

The kids absolutely loved the animals, and it was so special that your family puts in the time to come down with carrots to feed the animals. My kids loved it. My daughter absolutely fell in love with your horse and it’s looking like life is going to get expensive for us when we get home as she now wants one 🐴 perfect location, so close to the springs. Couldn’t have asked for more 🙌

It features a gated entrance and ample shade throughout the day. Guests can choose from powered sites, and there are additional amenities like a toilet and shower available for your comfort. We loved camping at the Pool Camp. There was plenty of room for our campervan, nice and close to the pool, and a nice mix of sun and shade. The ability to have a small fire at our site, and access to the toilet and shower, were appreciated. It all felt very private and in a lovely bush setting.

This was an incredible Hipcamp!
Family host were extremely accommodating and allowed the kids to help feed chooks, donkey Maggie, the herd of cows and horse Stormy.
They have the sweetest pups!
Brilliant location, so close to Berry Springs, Berry Springs tavern and the Wildlife park.
Highly recommend.
