The property is 40 acres of carefully maintained virgin rainforest. Our flora and fauna are exactly the same as nearby Litchfield National Park, unfortunately without any waterfalls. We have cleared about 10 acres of undergrowth leaving the trees for shade. Animals and other wildlife are abundant with the lilly pond on our front lawn being the only permanent water other than the Finniss River that they have in the area. We have hundreds of wallabies, goannas, frill necked lizards and plenty of bird life. Our pet Red Tailed Black Cockatoo "Butt" attracts the local wild ones, because she is happy they trust us so you can get closer to them than usual for photos. We have toilets and showers set up for our annual fishing competition which we hold for charity each Queens Birthday weekend. There is also a large wood fired BBQ in the same central area. The fish filleting table and boat cleaning area is also nearby. The local kites and other raptors including sea eagles and if you are lucky may see a wedgetailed eagle come in for fish scraps. Croc and dingo area - be aware!

There are 2 friendly dogs the property so if your pet is friendly there wont be a problem, just keep in mind the goats and chooks. There may be the option to join in some fitness classed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. We also have some Pour Paint classes held on Fridays, bookings for these classes are essential and private sessions can also be arranged. Message us for more information. Campers MUST be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided.

Due to the nature of the sanctuary our property is unfortunately not suitable for children under the age of 5. Interaction with Kangaroos is guaranteed for our visitors and the listed price includes a guided animal encounter, nocturnal tour and dinner where we share some stories of our lovely sanctuary with you. We have a Wildlife Hospital and a Gift Shop so guests can purchase memories of their stay. Eftpos is available in Gift Shop. The Sanctuary is a private place and is not open to any tour companies. Our property is 40 minutes from Darwin CBD and conveniently located between Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, Berry Springs and Howard Springs and the mighty Adelaide River. Just down the road is a very good shopping centre with shops, pharmacy, doctors, bakery, Woolworths, fuel, mechanic and industrial area. Right from your camp site you can enjoy bush walks at the back of our property and be amazed by the bird life, stunning sun sets and a sky full of stars. Power and water are available at this site, including access to an outdoor laundry at the main house. You will need to be completely self-contained with your own kitchen and bathroom facilities within your caravan or motorhome. There is no sewage disposal available on site. We do have animals here so do not allow any pets. A second site is available if you are traveling with other campers – enquire within regarding booking of two sites.

Green Acres is located in Bynoe, just over an hour and a half drive from Darwin in the Northern Territory. We have five spacious powered sites and plenty of non-powered sites available. WE CURRENTLY ONLY HAVE FACILITIES FOR VANS WITH SELF-CONTAINED TOILETS, UNTIL MID AUGUST 2024 We are close to boat ramps where you can access excellent fresh and salt-water fishing and crabbing. We are close to both Berry Springs and Litchfield National Park where you can find stunning waterfalls, swimming holes and wildlife to enjoy. The Sandpalms Roadhouse is a two minute drive away. They offer fuel, a cafe style menu, with special nights for a roast or a woodfired pizza, They are a licensed, family friendly establishment. There is often wildlife visiting our property so keep an eye out whilst enjoying your time at camp. Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while sitting around your campfire. We also have a toilet and shower available for campers. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash upon arrival and under your control at all times. Due to not having an area waste removal program in Bynoe it is appreciated that you take all waste with you. We try to be eco friendly and use the power which we generate. Our electricity is on solar with battery backup, which is sufficient to charge phones and laptops overnight, but aircons would use too much energy. Let us know in advance if you are planning to use the airon in the night.

There are 2 friendly dogs the property so if your pet is friendly there wont be a problem, just keep in mind the goats and chooks. There may be the option to join in some fitness classed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Campers MUST be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided.
