Choose from the 'Ant Shack' or four adjacent campsites with easy access and views to the Nymboida River. Shared facilities include a hot shower and composting toilets. You can walk, swim and kayak, explore the area or just relax for days. We can’t accommodate domestic animals or allow fishing, not even catch and release, because we protect our wildlife and the endangered Eastern Cod. Black Mountain is remote but just 60 kilometres from Grafton or Coffs (via back way). 2WD access to our house is from Nymboida only. 4WD/AWD from Lowanna or Glenreagh and 4WD/AWD down to the river/campsite area - Not suitable for caravans. All proceeds from Airbnb and Hipcamp are invested in the continuing conservation of Black Mountain.

Only 15 mins drive from the town of Macksville, 45 minutes from Coffs Harbour, 45 minutes from Port Macquarie and 20 minutes or so (but who counts) from the famous Pub With no Beer (which does have beer). This property is extremely private with a number of camp sites that have you feeling like the rest of the world no longer exists. There are six dams and views to the coast (from the top of the hill). You get to share it with a couple of horses and a few cows but it's ok they don't like sleeping in tents or caravans. Sunsets, sunrises and night time star gazing. It's an ideal place to de-stress and reconnect with nature. Welcoming self - contained campers who bring there own amenities. There is access to drinking water but otherwise everything is BYO and take away all your rubbish please. You can choose to either be completely secluded and away from everyone. 4WD access or walk in with tents. Or you can set up closer to the entrance road and roadway (more suitable to caravans). There are lovely walks on the property itself or go for a casual stroll up the dirt road but watch out for the 3 or 4 cars every couple of hours or so. Views are amazing, air is incredible and the night sky is breathtaking. Campfires are possible but only in some months. The ideal place to get away from it all but close enough to Coffs Coast Tourist attractions, including amazing places to eat. Your pet is welcome to camp with you, but please do not let them stray onto neighbours' farms or chase stock. They run the risk of being baited or shot. There is stock on the property so please leave all gates as you find them. If they are open they stay open. If closed they stay closed.

This property is extremely private with a number of camp sites that have you feeling like the rest of the world no longer exists. There are six dams and views to the coast (from the top of the hill). You get to share it with a couple of horses and a few cows but it's ok they don't like sleeping in tents or caravans. Sunsets, sunrises and night time star gazing. It's an ideal place to de-stress and reconnect with nature. Welcoming self - contained campers who bring there own amenities. There is access to drinking water but otherwise everything is BYO and take away all your rubbish please. You can choose to either be completely secluded and away from everyone. 4WD access or walk in with tents. Or you can set up closer to the entrance road and roadway (more suitable to caravans). There are lovely walks on the property itself or go for a casual stroll up the dirt road but watch out for the 3 or 4 cars every couple of hours or so. Views are amazing, air is incredible and the night sky is breathtaking. Campfires are possible but only in some months. The ideal place to get away from it all but close enough to Coffs Coast Tourist attractions, including amazing places to eat. Your pet is welcome to camp with you, but please do not let them stray onto neighbours' farms or chase stock. They run the risk of being baited or shot. There is stock on the property so please leave all gates as you find them. If they are open they stay open. If closed they stay closed.

Richard's farm is a massive piece of land and we were allowed to pick any spot. Richard is a gracious host who proved all the necessities for the travelers - fresh water and power. There is plenty of wood on site and Richard can lend you an axe if you feel up to it. Bring some carrots and apples to feed the neighbours horses - kids will love it. The site itself is reasonably leveled and we had no issues in parking our motorhome. Overall our stay was fun and enjoyable.

another great spot in the Bowraville area, a good level campsite on a great little water hole, good and refreshing on a hot afternoon on arrival, very quite and peaceful with the whole campsite to our selves, plenty of room for the dog to run around although he spent most of his time in the water. the hosts are a very friendly young family and Sam was very helpful, and the kids turned up with fresh farm eggs, very much appreciated. we will definitely be back

Beaut campsite overlooking the Nymboida 😊 We went walking along the well marked tracks early morning for a couple hours which were delightful with the quirky additions along the way. In the afternoon paddled out in the Nymboida river and had a dip. Camp fire in the evening and lots of fireflys around amazing. Great couple days n lucky good weather. Steep hill down but little Subaru handled it well 👍.

We absolutely loved camping at Mer and Ben’s Hipcamp!! The property is beautiful, there is so much wildlife (particularly frogs) and the sites are very spacious and shaded. They provided us with a fire pit which was a great size! The toilet was very clean and the camp shower was a fun little experience and super handy to have. The property was easy to find and a short (20 mins ish) drive to the beach. As much as I want to keep this beautiful place a secret i genuinely think anyone that visits would have a much stronger relationship with nature and wildlife after their visit! Can’t wait to be back again!

Another fantastic stay at Vallis Oaks. We just love this place and particularly enjoyed taking advantage of the gorgeous, clear swimming hole during a very hot pack up! Immaculate site (as usual), almost completely surrounded by the crystal clear Nambucca River near its source, falling asleep to the sound of the running water, and absolute privacy.
