The campground is tucked away in a little valley overlooking an idyllic stretch of windy river with an amazing swimming hole, sandy beach, tranquil rapids and a beautiful, mesmerising, majestic rock. We have four primative campsites suited to all types of large and small, self sufficient campers in RV's, caravans, camp trailers, vans and tents. All sites are unique and positioned to enhance space and privacy as well as proximity and views of the river. They all showcase the varying, natural beauty and characteristics of the landscape. You can also book our amazing, award winning glamping tent. We are not a party campsite. Our little slice of paradise is for peace and relaxation. We also need to respect and encourage the presence and abundance of birds and animals and continue to ensure it is a peaceful and quiet home for them. You can enjoy your music just as long as other campsites and the local wildlife can't hear it. Manilla, only 20 minutes away has two dump points and water refill stations as well as a good number of shops to cater to all your needs during your stay. We are not in a high traffic area so you may get to enjoy having the place all to yourself. Our campsites have good access for all types of camp set ups and are not impacted by flooding. Nor do they become boggy in wet weather due to the high sand content in our soil. You could be sitting on the warm sandy bank overlooking the river and being captivated by the surrounding beauty and the magnificence of the swimming hole. This secret little piece of paradise has been untouched for 40 years and is home to an abundance of birdlife. Birds include the colourful Rainbow bee eaters, Kingfishers, Superb Fairy Wrens, Eastern Yellow Robins, Red Browed Finch and many more. Escape to this relaxing rustic woolshed, situated in the Upper Hunter region of NSW. Swim in the waterholes that the creek provides, hike over the 650 acers of property, explore the beautiful town of Murrurundi and what is has to offer or relax and spot the wildlife passing by. Guests will love the rustic interior of the old working woolshed, converted by the owner into this idealic accommodation, complete with chic simplicity and a sign of times that once were. Sleeping a total of 5, extra camp sites can be booked for larger groups at a cost. With stunning views of the creek, enjoy the fire pit and cook your dinner under the stars (firewood can be purchased under 'Extras'). There is a full size picnic table and a kids picnic table outside, along with seating on the veranda and inside the shed. The kitchen is complete with a microwave, stove, portable gas oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer and a lovely country-style sink, along with dishware and cutlery. You will find all that you need to relax and enjoy a stress free getaway. The bathroom boasts a comfortable sized shower, free standing clawfoot bath (found on the property and restored by the owner) and a flushing toilet - enjoy the heated flooring on the cooler winter nights! The Woolshed is approximately 200 meters away from the main house, you may see the owners, their children and dog walking around or driving past from a distance, however The Woolshed area will be solely yours during your stay. The Woolshed itself has a lovely veranda with table and chairs, that provides a picturesque spot to sit and admire the view up the paddock. The Woolshed is rustic and open to the elements, so be mindful that it can be cold in winter and warm in summer. The shed has 4 extra large fans and for the cooler months an internal woodfire (firewood can be purchased under 'Extras'). All 3 beds have electric blankets, the 4th bed, a trundle does not so please pack extra blankets. Don't feel like making beds on holidays, let us do it for you (linen hire available under 'Extras'). The Woolshed sleeps 5 - 1 x Queen bed, 1 x single bunk bed, 1 x single trundle bed. If you are a larger group please feel free to book tent sites, available under 'Extras'.

What a beautiful spot for a relaxing get away right by the river on the private spot. Took our 9 metre motorhome and had mo issues getting there and despite us having rain we got out ok too. Highly recommend and would love to come back again. Thanks Caroline for having us x

We loved this camp. It’s secluded and peaceful. The owners are friendly and accommodating explaining the walks and directions. The river was perfect for a swim and cool off. There is plenty of animal and bird life. Also the road in is in excellent condition. This is one to come back to!

Great spot, peaceful and quiet, surrounded by horses, chickens and ducks- perfect 👌. Close to the house but not a problem, no noise or intrusion. Bathroom close by. Great hosts. Easy cycle into town. Would choose to stay here again. Feeding carrots to the horses was my highlight ✨️

We really enjoyed our stay. The site is very private, nice and shady, close to the hosts house but you would not know. The amenities were nice and clean and Christine gave us clear instructions on how to get there and a warm welcome on arrival. Just remember to pack a converter as the power is via a standard 10amp. Definitely would stay again if travelling through Tamworth again.

This is a magnificent spot! The birdlife is amazing! So, if you enjoy the sounds of bird songs, this is place will not disappoint. If you prefer to cast a line, the fishing is peaceful. The fish seemed to avoid me, but perhaps you will have better luck.

Weekend Trip to Oakenville Farm, Nundle

Lovely little farm. 2 friendly dogs and Rachel is very friendly as well. If your not a fan of roosters its not ideal but if you're like me and love the chooks, ducks and dogs it's a great spot to stay. Not to far from town so it's a nice 1 kilometre walk into town.
