Escape to this relaxing rustic woolshed, situated in the Upper Hunter region of NSW. Swim in the waterholes that the creek provides, hike over the 650 acers of property, explore the beautiful town of Murrurundi and what is has to offer or relax and spot the wildlife passing by. Guests will love the rustic interior of the old working woolshed, converted by the owner into this idealic accommodation, complete with chic simplicity and a sign of times that once were. Sleeping a total of 5, extra camp sites can be booked for larger groups at a cost. With stunning views of the creek, enjoy the fire pit and cook your dinner under the stars (firewood can be purchased under 'Extras'). There is a full size picnic table and a kids picnic table outside, along with seating on the veranda and inside the shed. The kitchen is complete with a microwave, stove, portable gas oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer and a lovely country-style sink, along with dishware and cutlery. You will find all that you need to relax and enjoy a stress free getaway. The bathroom boasts a comfortable sized shower, free standing clawfoot bath (found on the property and restored by the owner) and a flushing toilet - enjoy the heated flooring on the cooler winter nights! The Woolshed is approximately 200 meters away from the main house, you may see the owners, their children and dog walking around or driving past from a distance, however The Woolshed area will be solely yours during your stay. The Woolshed itself has a lovely veranda with table and chairs, that provides a picturesque spot to sit and admire the view up the paddock. The Woolshed is rustic and open to the elements, so be mindful that it can be cold in winter and warm in summer. The shed has 4 extra large fans and for the cooler months an internal woodfire (firewood can be purchased under 'Extras'). All 3 beds have electric blankets, the 4th bed, a trundle does not so please pack extra blankets. Don't feel like making beds on holidays, let us do it for you (linen hire available under 'Extras'). The Woolshed sleeps 5 - 1 x Queen bed, 1 x single bunk bed, 1 x single trundle bed. If you are a larger group please feel free to book tent sites, available under 'Extras'.

Our property is located very close to Tamworth, which is great if you're visiting to attend one of the fantastic annual events held here. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply. There is access to rubbish facilities. We have several options, with the first campsite being right near the dam with no power but good shade, and a fairly level site with water available. The second is in front of fenced area with access to power, water and lots of shady areas. We are happy to accommodate horses and well behaved dogs (stock on property and ducks on dam). You can relax around the crackling campfire in the evenings. The Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) is close so if competing we can accommodate your horses and your truck. For Country Music Festival I will remove horses from one paddock to allow for more campers, if booking looks full please message as may be able to accommodate still. Any bad behaviour will result in campers being asked to leave immediately.

The property consists of the main residence which sits above a large paddock and stable block that then runs along to a series of smaller paddocks that lead up to ‘Far Hill’ which looks over the town and surrounding hills. The hill offers great views with a small fire pit, swing and area for camping. Near the stable block is the Alpaca paddock where our two pet Alpacas are very happy to be fed with their favourite treats.

Our property is an operating farm with cattle and horses. Native wildlife and vegetation, wooded and cleared areas, dams, a waterfall and running creek in wetter seasons, hilly and undulating paddocks. Wedge-tail eagles, owls, cockatoos and galahs, kangaroos and echidnas are all regular visitors here. This is an appreciation of the Australian bush and primary production scenery. Each of our sites are completely private from each other, from our homestead and from neighbours. From your site take in views of the valley dotted with crops and grazing stock. Pot some yabbies, cool off in a dam, keep your eyes peeled for snakes and echidnas. Explore local areas such as Nundle (45 minutes to gold panning and the Woollen Mill) and Currabubula (30 minutes to the Curra pub), visit Goonoo Goonoo Station (magnificently restored and renovated historic sheep and cattle station now also an event centre and restaurant) and Dungowan Brewery (30 minutes to remodelled shearing-shed-come-restaurant and farm animal zoo). Church on Sundays is at St Lukes at 9:00am (7 minutes to local evangelical Anglican and morning tea is served). Four wheel drive access only. Maximum speed 20kms per hour. No power. No running water. No amenities. Please bring your own waste management which can be deposited to the green lid bin at the front gate. Campfires strictly only between 1 July and 1 September and never on a windy day.

Featuring a covered dinning area with magical views looking over Swamp Oak Creek, only a few metres from your kitchen we have our custom made fire pit with a selection of cooking methods for those hearty meals, secluded swimming holes reserved for this site and your own compost toilet. Due to this site being kilometers from anyone it is perfect for the relaxing get away without coming in contact with a sole. NOTE: 4WD DRIVE ACCESS ONLY NO FRESH WATER Top Dam - Site 1 Nestled among the trees on the top side of our 3 acre dam this amazing location has another of our custom fire pits for those nights around the fire and also features various accessories for different cooking styles. Enjoy a swim in the dam or a relaxing afternoon of kayaking then cast in the fishing line and try your skills at reeling in one of our rainbow trout or silver perch, you can even throw out a yabby net to catch a few yabbies. Why not spend an hour or two stolling around the various walks we have on offer, or join us for the afternoon feeding of our petting animals. This site has access to rain water, shower and toilet. NOTE: PRE APPROVAL FOR WATER ACTIVIES MUST BE OBTAINED BEFORE ARRIVAL Bottom Dam - Site 2 This site is located on the lower side of our 3 acre dam this great location has another of our custom fire pits for those nights around the fire and also features the same accessories for different cooking styles. We are located near Manilla, which lies 45km northwest of Tamworth. You can purchase all you need at the shopping centres there, or in Manilla where you can can pick up groceries and fuel. We are suitable for caravans or motorhomes with self contained toilets and showers as we have no facilities. It is essential that visitors have these facilities. There is a waste dump station in Manilla. Our property offers flat access from the road, with plenty of room to manoeuvre. We recommend 4WDs - please message us if you are unsure about your vehicle. You are welcome to camp near the river or in a hidden valley. Swim in the river and have a camp fire. Walk in the area, see the abundance of birds and wildlife. This is a hilly and mountainous area to explore, you are welcome to go fishing along the river bank, or bring a camera as it's a photographer's delight. Very private camping areas. Enjoy listening to the crackle of the campfire in the evenings. There is access to drinking water, but no amenities so you need to be a self-sufficient camper and bring your own camping toilet/shower. Well behaved pets welcome.

The Kentucky Family Campsite is 4 acres of flat countryside for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature whilst being only a short drive from the essentials (3km from a general store). A world renowned gin distillery offers tastings (and food on weekends) or 15 mins to the township of Uralla for a great pub meal, supermarket, bakery, butchery or cafes, and we're 40 minutes to the regional centres of Armidale or Tamworth. The sites are in an open field. The camp area has views of fields and a small dam. It is a quiet setting but with conveniences close by. Friendly hosts who are happy to help with whatever is needed or offer guidance on places to visit. You need to be self-contained with your own shower but there is a flushing toilet. The property is being improved all the time. The nearby village offers a distillery where you will be amazed by the selection of tastings (both liquor and food). Further up the road Uralla has all the extras you might want, with cafes and hotels, bakery, butcher, IGA supermarket and much more. Picturesque foggy mornings will greet you and stunning sunsets will delight you over a glass of wine or beer at the end of each day, as you listen to the crackling of your campfire. Tents, swags, caravans, motorhomes, camper vans or natural star gazing sleepers sleepers all welcome. This campsite is 2WD accessible. Well behaved pets are welcome if kept on leads.

We are 12 kms from the New England Highway, 20 kms from both Wallabadah and Nundle, and 57 kms from Tamworth.Of the 3 towns, Nundle is the most historic - not surprising given its gold mining beginnings. But its been the grazing community on which its thrived since the latter part of the 19th century. Gold mining has largely been superseded by forestry and tourism, with Chaffey Dam providing a great playground for water sports, and Sheeba Dam in the natural beauty of Hanging Rock. The history of the region is told on the walls of the Peel Inn, which along with 'Glenoak', a once leading merino stud in the district, now cattle property, has been owned by the Schofield family since the 1860's. In the last 50 years, Robert and Margaret Schofield have been delivering a tasty combination of traditional Australian and Asian dishes, depending on the backgrounds of visiting chefs.Our property currently runs only a small number of sheep, soon to add goats for cheese production. Our adjoining neighbors run 800 head of Angus breeders. The area abounds with wildlife.Park or pitch your tent within the grounds of the house, with access to outdoor bathroom (toilet and shower) facilities, adjacent to the laundry with washer and dryer. There is access to a picnic table, rubbish facilities and reliable wi-fi.Our property is ideal for the quiet escape. Goonoo Goonoo Creek is on our property. Quality dual suspension mountain bikes are available to guests to ride on the property or adjoining backroads. Or you may prefer to go for a walk instead.Stay toasty around the campfire in the evenings as you gaze at the night sky.The property is 2WD accessible and there's sufficient space for a caravan, motorhome, campervan or camper trailer, and of course, tents.Cats are not allowed.

This is the perfect getaway spot to relax, complete with platypus, wombats and amazing bird life, fishing for trout and yellow belly. Lots of kayaking and swimming in summer, and plenty in winter too if you're brave!). We're around 30 mins from Tamworth where you can find all the supermarkets and supply stores to meet your camping gear needs, and there's lots of great cafes and restaurants too. Power is available if required but not next to the river. Camp next to the river (4WD access only) with your tent or rooftop set up or park uphill overlooking the river with your caravan or motor home, it's only a little further away (100 metres) with power available. Campfires allowed at both locations ( fire season permitting) you will need to bring your own wood. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/ shower. Rain water is available for campers and caravans as required, and there is access to rubbish facilities. ​Your well behaved pet is welcome to camp with you.

Our property is located on the edge of Nundle and is within walking distance to the center of the village. The campsite is one open paddock off Barry road which runs from Nundle to Hanging Rock. It's a great secure base camp for exploring Nundle, Hanging Rock, and State Forest. There is a Crown reserve with the semi permanent Happy Valley creek on the back boundary. For fit hikers, a steep walk via a crown reserve will take you up to the Hanging Rock State forest. You will be camping in a large open paddock, not shared with any other campers, and you can park anywhere you like. This is not a secluded bush block, but an easy campsite in close proximity to everything Nundle has to offer. Campfires welcome and plenty of firewood available. Sometimes you will be sharing the paddock with a small herd of friendly and curious speckle park cattle. The mommas currently have young calves. They come and go as they please on their grazing adventures across my whole property. Please let me know if you are worried about the cattle and I will move them. P.S: the creek in not currently running, if you need water, ask.
