We loved our stay at David’s camp, it’s a beautiful peaceful area, well set up and cared for. David is a great host, very helpful and friendly. Apart from a quick intro on arrival and a visit to bring by more balls for the ping pong table, we barely knew he was there. We were also graced with a visit from the local kelpie who played with the kids (and us!) and kept us company. Having the cabin next to the campsite is so helpful. All the fun of camping but a hot shower, toilet, gas bbq, and food prep/ cleanup space makes it more like a private amenities building next door to our tent. For anything else we need, Campbelltown is 15 minutes away. Would 100% recommend a visit. We will definitely be back. Thanks to David for allowing access to his beautiful little slice of the world

Very peaceful. Yes you can hear the highway traffic all hours but it’s not significant enough to worry you. Lovely hosts. The only negative is the lack of signage. I think the sites should be numbered or named and allocated. The pathways through the bush to the river should also be sign posted, not easy to navigate, i can see visitors getting lost . Would I come back? Definitely

An excellent choice if you want peace and privacy. Amenities were clean, instructions were clear, nothing to complain about. Stars were amazing, the gorge was incredible, and free firewood was the cherry on top. Will definitely be back and soon!

Absolutely loved staying here. The Paddock has plenty of room and well maintained. It had a lovely fire pit set up and lots of firewood to collect. Leanne was so friendly and made the effort to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed and knew where the toilet and firewood was. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The naturewalks were stunning as well. The perfect place to relax and unwind. I’m looking forward to coming back.

We loved staying here! Wayne was the absolute best- so friendly and welcoming. The property was stunning and we loved being surrounded by the animals. 3 nights at Currambene Creek Farm

Vey horse oriented and friendly. This is a fantastic quiet spot, close to highway access. Trees offered great shade and was a grassy camp area. ** If you have horses and float them around THIS is the place for you, for a spell in your travels** Horse float access was good. No fires on site, make sure to take a gas BBQ (and mozzie repellent). Must have a contained toilet. No pets other than horses.

Great little spot! It rained while we were there but would have loved to see the place dry to really make the most of it. We had Arena area to ourselves and our young children were safe running around. Access is a little tight in places and if towing definitely 4WD needed. We stayed with Jayco Swift but didn’t have any problems. Amenities were fabulous! Would come again. Thank you for having us Natasha

9 nights at Noonameena - Sleep in the Bush

What a great spot to take it easy, Dana was the best with a great welcome. What a wonderful place to camp. Walk to the River it does takes a little effort to get down there but worth it, and not far from Berrima to walk around the town and have lunch at the pub. Lots of fire wood you just have to look for it. Thanks again, we stayed 9 nights lots of star to see while sitting around a fire. We will be back as not for from Sydney.

'Elouera Vale' Farm

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale). While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us). The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere". The Gums Cottage is a fully contained, off-grid modern getaway, surrounded by the magnificent white gum trees that are its namesake. The serene setting and stylish interior of The Gums provides all the essentials for a picturesque and peaceful country escape. Otford Park nr Royal National Park

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Our primary purpose here is horse agistment, with four horses currently on the farm, along with 12 lovely chickens that free range during the day. The farm is a beautiful haven to take a stroll and explore, enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the gentle mornings, or sit and enjoy wine and cheese at the end of the day as the sun goes down. We are located 15 minutes from the local beaches and a little bit further to get to the Huskisson township with the famous Husky pub, 5 Pigs Cafe, and various other restaurants and cafes.

Bebrue was created in 1972 when 8¼ acres of natural bushland on the top of Mount Gibraltar (“The Gib”) at Mittagong was donated to the Girl Guides Association for the establishment of a camping and outdoors facility.Today, the site offers a well-protected camping facility set amongst beautiful, natural surrounds that are ideal for many activities. The adjacent north-east side of Mount Gibraltar offers walking trails to explore.The Mount Gibraltar Forest is significant due to its rarity, being identified as an endangered and threatened ecological community. The unique geology of the area supports a collection of flora that, as an assemblage, does not exist outside of The Gib. One very important resident of The Gib that you may meet is the extremely rare Powerful Owl. Bebrue is one of the largest privately own properties on The Gib and Girl Guides have always worked hard to protect the natural bush at Bebrue. Bebrue has also been recognised by the Mount Gibraltar Landcare and Bushcare Group as being an important local wildlife corridor. It is a member of Land for Wildlife.Bebrue is run by volunteers and all funds generated go back into improving the facility for use by the Girl Guides and wider community.
