Weekend Trip to Peaceful Sunny Ridge Farm

Host was amazing and a very nice secluded spot. Not the flattest for camping and slight road noise when it’s quiet at night. Thanks for having us Aline :)

1 night at Bonneydoon

Last minute booking for a variety of reasons and I’m so glad we stayed at Boneydoon. It was exactly what these 2 “city slickers” needed. We had the whole place to ourselves apart for some wallabies and kookaburras. Great communication with Nick and perfect facilities (for off grid). Great phone reception so we could check in with our dog sitter.

Weekend Trip to Fern Valley Ranch

Our 2 night camping trip with our children (10 & 7) at Fern Valley Ranch was an amazing experience. It was our first time camping and it was such a perfect place for it. We were situated next to the orchard and a paddock with a beautiful, friendly horse and pony. We had our own fireplace and we had plenty of room for our large Ute and 9 person tent. The camp ground had a sink located next to the paddock, which was great for cleaning off our utensils and washing our hands. There was also toilets on the camp grounds which are open pit, but it was well maintained and had a sink and sanitiser. Around the Orchard, near the chickens was three cubicles which had a toilet, sink and a shower with hot water. When we arrived, the caretaker Ballyn came to greet us and let us know about the grounds and great places to explore. Ballyn did chicken feeding with the children (and let the adults join in to!) which was really fun. A short walk from the chickens was a “must see” waterfall that is very impressive. Another trail takes you to a beautiful open hut with a wood crafted table and chairs. A third trail takes you to “The Rock” which we unfortunately never made it to due to the amount of leeches on this trail due to the wet weather. The kids had the best time exploring all the different trails and discovering all the different mushrooms and fruits on the property. We would love to thank Ballyn and Jiji for such a memorable experience. We will definitely be back! 100% recommend

We loved coming back and spending a couple of days here at Jiji’s awesome farm. We did leave a bit earlier to avoid the deluge that was coming, but enjoyed time here. Am

Well set up campsites. Very private and beautiful views. Lots of interesting walks to do and stars were so clear at night. Nick and Jane are excellent hosts.

Great space to camp! Flat ground, easy to drive through too, clear instructions, very nice groundskeeper, easy to purchase fire wood, two seperate showers/toilets with a booking system whiteboard for the busy periods which is great! Clean and well kept grounds!

This is a great spot for camping. Lots of space, well set out, with clean amenities and hot showers. Staff on site were friendly and helpful, there were some nice bushwalks (mind the leeches at the waterfall!) and a lot of lovely chickens. Highly recommend!

A quiet, well spaced out camp ground with a few animals and a short walk nearby. Gosford is a handy distance away for supplies and eating out.

Beautiful place for camping. We went here with 2 kids for 2 nights and it was wonderful. Andy is a fantastic host and even set up a work tent to provide some extra shelter from the rain and provided extra kindling for us. Definitely a special place and we will be back! We enjoyed the local wild life and watching the mist roll in and out of the valley in the mornings.

We had a lovely time camping at Fern Valley Ranch! The site is gorgeous in amongst the orchards and we loved being able to have a fire. The location is perfect where you feel secluded but can also get into town relatively easily if needed. Everyone we met living on the ranch was lovely and helpful as well. Would highly recommend.

We loved it here, only stayed one night but it was great. The directions were simple, the roads were a bit bumpy though as it’s a dirt track. Which we did not mind. Plenty of spots available and it’s so quiet and beautiful. Would definitely camp here again!

2 nights at Central Coast Valley Farm

A wonderful place to camp - the hilltop spot is on a small hill and offers lovely views down the valley, into the morning sun. We saw Kangaroos and deer, and Andy was very welcoming. Would be a good base for hiking in the area.
