Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Enjoy the natural wildlife that roam freely, whilst enjoying a bonfire in the winter months (wood can be provided at $10 a night) We also have a shearing shed with power, water and toilet that is available to camp in out side of shearing times.

What a fantastic place to stay! We camped with the van for a week and it was perfect. The camp kitchen has all you could need and is neat and clean. The toilet and shower blocks are also very clean. There was plenty of wildlife, emus, eagles, kangaroos and goannas. The kayaks and private lake was perfect for the hot summer days. Fire pits available for the cooler nights. Hosts Tertia and Ken lovely and very accommodating. We would highly recommend this camp to everyone!

An extensive river side campsite with easy 2WD access to the property. A mix of clear campsites suitable for caravans and tree grove campsites great for rooftop or tent camping. There were drop toilets available which were surprisingly clean. Be aware that in summer months the fly population will be significant due to it being a working cattle property but in cooler months no problem and the bonus of being able to have a campfire.

Great host, clear directions and local knowledge in abundance. Camping is easy with clean facilities provided, on the water and undercover kitchen area. Dogs thoroughly enjoyed their time, plenty of space to run and sniff. Access road clear and easy to find.

Easy access into site, private and peaceful. Amenities were clean and well thought out, nice personal touches in bathroom. Host stopped into to run as through how the gas shower worked, he was friendly and polite and gave us handy directions for our travels. Would recommend to anyone passing through or for a trip away.

Highly recommend! Stunning setting right on the banks of the Tumut River, which was colder than the Polar Plunge in Antartica! Beautiful, peaceful, idyllic place for a few relaxing days, but close enough to town to enjoy the quaint township of Tumut. Thank you Wayne, we will be back.

We loved our stay at Bahwidgee. So peaceful and relaxing. Was easy access in on a well maintained road. Level grassy sites of your choice right on the Tumut River. River was a bit chilly due to recent snow but was so refreshing. We loved the cows coming past for their afternoon stroll. Thanks Wayne for offering a beautiful property for others to enjoy. Highly recommend. One of our favourite Hipcamps so far.

Great spot right on banks of Tumut River. Clean pit toilet, friendly cows, plenty of space and privacy. River was cold when we were there in December but still beautiful for a dip and crystal clear. A sign of a good hipcamp is if you would return or not and we will certainly be back.

Beautiful spot, views amazing, ditto birdlife. About 8 to 10 riverside spots, which are easy for any vehicle to access and can cope with large groups. Only 5 mins from Tumut coffee etc but can only see hills and river from camp. Camp-site area is regular rectangle bounded by river on one side and fences on the others, so could fit another 8 to 10 along the back. 87 would prob require vertical stacking.

What an awesome camp site. Super convenient being so close to town, beautiful spot with flat sites, perfect for our stop off between Melbourne and Sydney and Wayne makes you feel extremely welcome. We’ll be back next time we pass through!
