If you’re chasing peace, privacy, and that feeling of being completely off-grid without actually roughing it, this place nails it. Super quiet, surrounded by nature, and with plenty of space to spread out and unwind — exactly what we needed.

2 nights at Karoola Station

The Karoola Lagoon quickly shot to the top 3 locations on Hipcamp for our group. The property is easy to find and the camp sites are sign posted so you can make your own way down to the river. The Lagoon has a spacious frontage that could easily accommodate large groups. We had 7 vehicles and everyone had plenty of their own space and access to the water. A rocky hill shields the southerlys and the sun arcs perfectly across the campsite making it perfect for winter camping. Lots of fish were caught and the dogs had the time of their lives. Thank you to the hosts who had great communication and provided what is arguably a perfect campsite.

1 night at Wagga Bundaleer

Was perfect for a couple of days. I was there by myself and dogs could get off leash. The sites are big and divided so I expect you’ll wouldn’t feel on top of eachother. Thanks Emma 🐾

NEW LOCATION, NEW FREINDS This was our first trip to Palm Cove, and we just loved it. Between the super secluded location of our camp, right on the river. Or, the super friendly hosts and an invite to a "camp oven social". This is our new favourite Hipcamp. Nadine and Troy went out of their way to make us comfortable. Troy cut us a huge lot of firewood, so grateful. Nadine came and personally invited us to get to know everyone staying with drinks around the fire pit. Husband even caught a couple of Cod. We can't wait for our next visit

Camping at Sheryl and James's property at The lagoon is a a very special experience. Surrounded by lush land and a beautiful hill that has sacred rocks and a great walk for a stunning view and sunset photos. The camp grounds are immaculate with fire pits, right on the rivers edge. Fishing and a rope swing. It's the perfect overnight stay or a long relaxing few days in nature. You will not be disappointed in any way.

Didn’t want to leave. We extended our stay due to the weather, Debbie was a wonderful host and extremely accommodating from our arrival right through to departure. Great place to relax and wind down, accessible flat sites, easy walk to the river, kangaroos grazing every morning and late afternoon, you can take a stroll through the bush to look for koalas (we spotted at least 5). Fire pits provided with firewood. If you’re travelling with a dog this place is fantastic. Very close to town for supplies if needed. We loved it !!! 🏕️🤩

Fabulous secluded spot near a beautiful billabong. Flat sites and well looked after. Their 2 horses were nice company to watch playing together in the morning. Debbie is a great host and was good enough to meet us on arrival to help guide us. Highly recommended spot and close to Narrandera too for provisions etc.

Very nice spot to stay, the lake the outdoor facility is well maintained, it makes you feel like you are in an Oasis.

1 night at Palm Cove On The Murrumbidgee

Palm Cove was absolutely wonderful, the gazebo setup next to the river was beautiful and clean the grass around was lush and green and could be mistaken for a golf course! The toilet was clean and flushable, no long drop! Nadine was very welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond what is expected. Oh and the views! They have found their piece of paradise and I'm grateful they have chosen to share it with all of us. Thanks Nadine for allowing us to have such a great time.

Fabulous place, nice and level with lovely views across the water to the Weddins. We were lucky to have it to ourselves for the two nights that we were there but there is plenty of space to spread out. Well set up and maintained by the friendly host and so peaceful.

The property is located smack bang in the middle of Young, Forbes, West Wylong and Cowra - taking about an hour to drive to each. The is plenty to do and see in the area, including exploring the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park and Bimbi State Forest. Just 20 minute North is the quaint town of Grenfell. Tucked into the beautiful Lachlan Valley, Grenfell is a fascinating gold rush town with great galleries, historic buildings and superb country pubs. There are also many events celebrating the town’s rich history and culture. Campers will enjoy flat, grassy sites on this 15 acre block. The creek is suitable for swimming, fishing, gabbling and paddling, and is quite wide in spots. This campsite suits self contained campers, who bring their own facilities and leave no trace. The access is via a dirt road (easy drive). You're welcome to bring your dog.
