Caravan parks near Balranald

·

An air-conditioned caravan is a comfy way to camp in the unique desert landscape of Balranald. Summers in the area are known for high temperatures, which is why most campers visit in spring or fall when the weather is cooler. However, caravan parks in town are open year-round and offer wifi and relaxing heated showers to wash off a day of exploration. Speed off to Yanga National Park—it’s 40 minutes away and offers several caravan campgrounds to choose from. Some are off the beaten path with few amenities, and others offer picnic tables and toilets. Murrumbidgee River is the perfect place to jump in for a swim, cast fishing rods, or cruise in the kayak. Or drive to Mungo National Park for another view of nature. This World Heritage Site is filled with striking rock formations, Aboriginal history, and kangaroos. Caravan campgrounds here feature picnic tables, toilets, and BBQs. After a restful night, conquer the Grasslands Nature Trail, and stop off at Mungo Lookout for sweeping views.
