We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking.
Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended.
During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

The 15-acre camping area is part of a mixed-farming property (1,500 acres) and has easy access for campervans.
The site is 8–10 minutes from Gundagai. A canoer’s paradise! Put your canoe in a few kilometres upstream and finish at the campsite, or simply enjoy the solitude around the fire.
A scenic drive following the Murrumbidgee and Tumut Rivers can be taken as an alternative route to Tumut or Gundagai. The site can be used as a base camp for fishing, wineries, bushwalking, and ski fields.
There is free firewood for campfires.
Friendly, well-controlled pets are welcome, as long as they don’t disturb other campers. Please be mindful that cattle and sheep may be grazing nearby.

"The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area.
You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient.
Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

A scenic drive following the Murrumbidgee and Tumut Rivers can be taken as an alternative route to Tumut or Gundagai. The site can be used as a base camp for fishing, wineries, bushwalking, and ski fields.

You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area.
You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient.
Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

A beautiful spot right on the river, so many sites to choose from with very friendly cows meandering through. Wayne and his dogs were very friendly and I’m sure if anything was needed, it wouldn’t be a problem. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay, perhaps in cooler weather so we can take advantage of a fire. 32 Deg at 7pm was still just too warm to light a fire. Loved the whole experience and would totally recommend it.

Stunning campsite at Jarabin on the bank of the Murrumbidgee River! Peaceful, well-maintained pet-friendly sites (3) with fire pits (when permitted). We stayed 2 nights with our dog who loved exploring and paddling in the river. Nothing better than sitting quietly (with no phone reception!) watching the river change character throughout the day. Dozens of different birds and corellas use the river as a highway in the late afternoon. Bliss! As night falls, star-gazing took over - brilliant sky. And we even spotted a wombat! We ordered meat from Ben and the steak was the best we've had in long time. Clear instructions to access the property. Sad to leave but we'll be back!

This NSW–Victoria border town sits north of the Murray River. As well as attractions like botanic gardens, an art gallery, and kids’ playgrounds within Albury, campers in the area can also check out Lake Hulme, where the Murray River is dammed. Nature reserves are set at various points along the lake, while a holiday park sits at Lake Hume Village. As Albury and Lake Hume are on the Victoria border, this area is a good jumping-off point for exploring the nearby state parks in Victoria, such as Mount Granya and Mount Lawson State Parks.
Mungo National Park
West of most Riverina towns, the dramatic Mungo National Park is an otherworldly landscape of dry lakes, sand dunes, rocky outcrops, indigenous culture, and archeological sites. There are two campgrounds within the park, one with a range of tent, caravan, and trailer sites and facilities, while the other is more basic. This dry area is more characteristic of the quintessential Australian outback than the lush, fertile Riverina, but it’s accessible from Riverina towns, including Griffith and Hay, by travelling west along the Sturt Highway.
