Great camping spot, would revisit. We chose the grassed area which was in great condition and had a fire pit and bin close by. We were lucky enough to be the only ones camping so it was quiet and relaxing with ample space. Toilet block in walking distance from all spots that was clean with no issues.

Weekend Trip to Fame Mountain Camp - pets welcome

This place is a hidden gem. A small, intimate, quiet campsite that feels off grid but has bathrooms/showers and enough firewood to keep you going! The view of the valley is simply spectacular. All sites are unpowered but they have filtered tank water. We chose to camp on a weekend where rain was possible. The land is a mountain but has been excavated with level steps for camping. That said, continuous rain obviously is going to create a very muddy environment. John and Mei have done what they can to create drainage. They are a very hospitable couple. The bathrooms are kept clean and tiny. This campsite requires a 4WD, especially when it’s wet.

1 night at NSW Ski Gardens

Host was perfect very easy to deal with and willing to help with anything. Very scenic drive in and beautiful views. Site was quite and well maintained. Fish were biting straight out from the boat ramp. Check out the route in there if you have never been before the gorge road is not suitable for large setups. The detour adds about 20 minutes but a pleasant drive.

1 night at Bonneydoon

Last minute booking for a variety of reasons and I’m so glad we stayed at Boneydoon. It was exactly what these 2 “city slickers” needed. We had the whole place to ourselves apart for some wallabies and kookaburras. Great communication with Nick and perfect facilities (for off grid). Great phone reception so we could check in with our dog sitter.

We had a great time here. The owners were very helpful and friendly . The spot by the river was perfect — our boys had a great time exploring. We had a tent and the area was nice and flat. We will be back in the future.

The 3 sites are clean & tidy. Shower & toilet well maintained. Gate is locked after hour's great no safety issues. Louise is very pleasant and is most welcoming we take our small house dog on a lead & he also enjoys his stay too. We visit often with friends and they are also eager to return. The birdlife is lovely to see & listen too.

4 nights at Willowbank

Willowbank in the little town of Stroud Road, wow what a gem. We glamped with our 22 foot van at the Long Flat site, which sits right beside the beautiful Karuah River. The huge private site with freshly mowed green grass on the perfectly level site made setting up a breeze, and the beautiful Karuah river flowing down from the Barrington Tops was just stunning, peaceful, calming, and truly majestic. Beautiful trees line the river, providing lovely shade and attracting a variety of birds that made every morning feel like a nature show. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, it didn't dampen our experience one bit. Jo and Ian, the wonderful hosts, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their kindness and care for the place and their guests really shines through. It’s just a short 10–15 minute drive into Stroud and about 30 minutes to Gloucester, but honestly, once you’re at Willowbank, you won’t want to leave we certainly didn’t. Can’t recommend this spot enough. Thank you so much Jo & Ian we can’t wait to visit again soon.

3 nights at Iggys Haven @ Anna Bay

The place so nice we stayed twice ! After heading off from Canberra to Anna bay we were greeted by Nathan and absolute legend of a bloke he showed us to our spot and it was lovely , then after 3 nights we headed to coffs and had a planned trip to come back and stay via Anna bay again to break up the trip to Canberra . Originally we were to camp on Stockton beach but after checking out the conditions we decided it wasn’t a safe bet we asked Nathan if he would have a spot for us on the way back as plans had changed and he was more than happy to accommodate us for our trip back , I can’t rate the camping or Nathan highly enough will definitely be back

We had a great time camping on Brett’s land! Despite the heavy rain and muddy conditions, we still really enjoyed ourselves. We chose a spot closer to the road which made things a bit easier. The basic amenities were definitely appreciated, and Brett was super friendly with great communication throughout. The highlight was star gazing on a clear night by the fire - absolutely amazing! Thanks again!

It is located just past Anna Bay village which is 2.5km away and the entrance to Worimi Conservation Lands the largest moving Sand Dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can 4WD, swim, surf, or enjoy a camel or horse ride. We have off-street parking with the car park area alongside the only car-free campground in Port Stephens. A large open grassed area surrounded by large melaleuca trees is perfect for throwing down a swag or setting up a tent for camping. You are not limited to a small site, you can use as much space as you desire, and we ask that guests respect others and give each other some room. In addition to the camping area, there is a small off-street, shaded area for a small number of campervans, there are no powered sites and sorry but we do not take caravans. All guests have access to the facilities including warm showers and toilets, a large Main building housing double kitchens with crockery and cutlery, toasters and kettles. There are indoor and outdoor covered seating areas and a free gas BBQ on the decked area with free Wi-Fi available. The Tomaree Peninsula has 26 beaches with numerous walking trails, including the recently upgraded Tomaree Coastal Walk and plenty of water activities including Dolphin and Whale watching cruises, diving, surfing, kayaking, fishing and snorkelling. Nelson Bay is the main tourist centre with plenty of restaurants and cafes and there are more clubs and food options dotted around the peninsula.

Noonameena is a beautiful retreat that feels secluded from the world, yet is just a stones throw from shops, beach, good food and parklands. We offer a number of grassy, level sites, some with shade, others with sun, all with bushland to the rear. There is also a pond/dam area, and lots of wildlife. We have a fire pit for communal use. The kangaroos will come and visit you early in the morning, and in the evening. You will also see lots of different parrots and birds. We even have goannas and echidnas about and the black cockatoos will come in for a visit. You will need to bring your own camp toilet, as we don't have facilities here. Pets are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as we have lots of wildlife around! Please note, when we have heavy rain, the ground can get boggy. We are very mindful to keep tabs on the weather for our guests, and will be in good communication with you in the lead up to your stay should we suspect there to be any issues. Whilst camping by the beautiful dam is lovely in fine weather, when it's raining, it’s best to camp towards the front of the property on higher ground. We'll advise the best solution in these circumstances. LET US KNOW about your preferred booking even if it appears booked out, as we can probably make it work or have ALTERNATIVE solutions for you!

Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you to our drop off point at Luskintyre and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 4 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee.

Right next door is Murrays Brewery and Sunset in the Vines, very handy to be able to walk next door (a really short walk) and have dinner and a drink. Shark and Ray Centre is 10 mins drive also and then there is the Butterfly House and Shark and Ray Rescue Centre just behind us on Marsh Road. Whilst we offer a space on our front area next to the dam, it is only a small area but plenty of room for a large van or RV with room to put out your awning provided you park where we suggest. We supply a fire pit and wood if you would like, please let us know on arrival or before you arrive so we can have it ready, (this in not an extra it is included in the price). We can offer electricity for an extra cost of $10 per night if needed. The main house is at the top of the circular drive way, you will be camping (Approx 50 m from the house). Pictures show this. We endeavour to appreciate your privacy as much as possible.

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Help yourself to what you need. The logs will need to be split as required. An axe and a wheelbarrow are supplied and are stored, in the firewood storage shed. - Every site has a fire pit. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Two Communal Fridges and a cold communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. We do have several flat areas for tents , hybrids, camper vans and small caravans. And we have 6 levelling blocks scattered across the sites. Dead flat is a concrete slab at any caravan park anywhere but here.

Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway! We are offering 5 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. You may get a visit from our horses, Dolly and Banjo and the cows and calves! Plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. There are 4x 15 amp powered sites. Suitable for small quiet groups/ families. NOT suitable for loud partying. The state forest is a short 10min drive away for bush walking, mountain biking and 4 wheel driving. Beach is 40 min drive away. We are located close to the Central Coast and Newcastle. (In Cooranbong ) Some of our camp sites have access to three eco toilets and only one shared shower, rubbish facilities and drinking water. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months. We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. However the guests from both the camp sites and the cabins have shared access to the pool and facilities. Which includes a large under cover patio area. FRIENDLY PETS welcome. On certain camp sites ourSmall kitchen with microwave dishwasher and cook top and fridge may be used . Please just clean up any mess you make. For the next guest All cleaning products under sink. WE HAVE 2 DOGS that are people friendly., who love to meet new fury friends , they do have the run of our property . Leaving dogs off-leash may lead to eviction without refund, and any harm to livestock or dogs must be avoided. Campers may use our rainwater to fill their tanks, and hot water connections are available, with campers providing their own gas bottles. Allowing only four sites to be occupied ensures privacy for our guests, Horseshoe camp is only 10 minutes drive, (7km) from Dungog township. Please note, our river sites may not always be available-subject to flooding or boggy access track. We do have a flush toilet in the shed but if you have your own all the better as it will save you a bit of a walk.

The huge backyard previously hosted an annual gypsy festival to celebrate International Romani day. The backyard is really the highlight - from the moment you step into it you will feel like you have escaped into your own little paradise. The house itself has 3 bedrooms, with 1 bathroom inside and 1 bathroom outside. Inside the house, which can sleep up to 8 people. In addition to the main house, there are 3 hand-made gypsy style caravans on site. The largest (brown) caravan at the front of the property has a double bed and 2 small single beds - so can sleep up to 4 people. It is suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids. The smallest caravan (green) has 2 single beds in it - please note that these beds are narrower than a standard single bed - see photos. Bed linen and Towels are provided only for the main house occupants - you must bring your own linen and towels when staying in the caravans. The medium caravan (blue) is in the backyard and can be used as a cubby house/chill out area or workspace. The house itself has recently been renovated, with care taken to retain its gorgeous vintage fixtures and furniture. There are coloured stained glass windows and lighting pendants throughout the house. This is our family holiday house so we have set it up with everything that you and your family will need to feel comfortable and at home. It’s an absolute paradise for kids with the trampoline, jetty, gypsy cubby house, kayaks and fishing opportunities.
