Peaceful Paddocks
Tranquil 'bush-like' haven
Peaceful Paddocks has an 'in-the-bush' atmosphere on a paddock and freedom from any noise. Host Barb welcomed us on arrival, and it was an ideal home-base for our visit to the 2023 Newcastle Williamtown Airshow. The blend of nature and serenity was perfect. Quiet and comforting, this hidden gem proved perfect for a peaceful, convenient escape. Big thanks to Barb for an enjoyable stay.

Peaceful Overnite Stay
We towed our 20 foot caravan into Peaceful Paddocks at about 6 30pm. No problems going through the gates.. It certainly was peaceful overnite. Saw some kangaroos on our travels to find a spot to park up for the nite. Clean and tidy. The sites are easy to access ( it had been raining) and quite level too. Plenty of green grass and shady trees if you need. Highly recommend for a stop over if you find yourself tired, between Taree and Newcastle. There are very few places close to the freeway where there is no traffic noise, this definitely lives up to the name. Thanks again Barb.

We stayed at Barb’s for one night to shake down our new camper. Loved it! Only a stones throw from newcastle and the Hunter - great spot and we loved walking the perimeter of the property with our young daughter and dog. Looking forward to a return trip - for longer next time

Peaceful Paddocks
Back to Nature
Barb is a great host and communicating was A1. Peaceful Paddocks is a convenient location just off the highway and offers great access to Swan Bay which has some quaint little picnic areas. Being mud flats probably not easy to go swimming but certainly possible. Barbs house is towards the front of the property, albeit set back about 100m from the gate (it's a very large piece of land). The sites are 'pick your spot' with plenty of shade offered by the great number of trees all around. There are also unshaded areas if that's what you prefer. The vibe is very much like camping in the bush with its rugged ground and landscape. No power. No water. No toilet. Just a safe spot, hosted by a lovely lady. On the weekend we stayed at PP, there were at least 7 other cars but at no point was there a gap less than 25 metres between us. We were fortunate and every group were considerate and respectful of 'sleeping hours'. Lots of sounds from nature around you (birds, rooster, and some others), which added to the ambience. Also a few cows that said hello as you drove onto the property. It was a case of let yourself in and follow Barbs clear instructions to pick your spot. Stockton Sand Dunes (Worimi land) was less than 30 mins away so anther great accessible area from a home base at PP. All in all, we enjoyed PP thoroughly and would stay again if the opportunity presents itself. Thanks Barb!
