Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Off-leash friendly
Pets can be off-leash at some sites.
Noonameena is a beautiful retreat that feels secluded from the world, yet is just a stones throw from shops, beach, good food and parklands. We offer a number of grassy, level sites, some with shade, others with sun, all with bushland to the rear. There is also a pond/dam area, and lots of wildlife. We have a fire pit for communal use. The kangaroos will come and visit you early in the morning, and in the evening. You will also see lots of different parrots and birds. We even have goannas and echidnas about and the black cockatoos will come in for a visit. You will need to bring your own camp toilet, as we don't have facilities here. Pets are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as we have lots of wildlife around! Please note, when we have heavy rain, the ground can get boggy. We are very mindful to keep tabs on the weather for our guests, and will be in good communication with you in the lead up to your stay should we suspect there to be any issues. Whilst camping by the beautiful dam is lovely in fine weather, when it's raining, it’s best to camp towards the front of the property on higher ground. We'll advise the best solution in these circumstances. LET US KNOW about your preferred booking even if it appears booked out, as we can probably make it work or have ALTERNATIVE solutions for you!

Site #7 - OVERFLOW
Camping
Very nice little camp ground, perfect for a couple. We had a great little night. Sibby was accommodating on short notice.

Noonameena - A bush sleeping place
Perfect alternative to caravanparks
We had a great time at Sibby's property. We had just picked up our new caravan and wanted something not too far from the highway (far enough so you couldn't here it). Our kids (and budgie) loved the abundance of native birds and that site was large enough to kick the soccer ball around. Sibby met us on arrival and showed us to our generously sized site. Perfect alternative to busy and congested caravan parks. Highly recommend.

Noonameena - A bush sleeping place
A lovely quiet place with a very organised host who gave us information on all the plants and animals to be found.

Noonameena - A bush sleeping place
Sibby was great with communication. Very prompt with replies. In comparison to other places we have stayed at which had much more space, activities to do at the site, features like power, etc, the cost for the stay was rather expensive for what you get ($79 per night with our 5 year old and 6 year old each being $12 extra a night). For the price we were just expecting more than what it is. As per the listing, the ground does get soggy under the weight of a caravan when it has been raining. The space is flat and the stay was pleasant and fairly quiet apart from a few barking dogs.

Excellent camping experience.
Great place, nice and quiet and plenty of wildlife to keep an eye out for. Level grounds and heaps of room to stretch out. Would recommend this place and stay next time we are near.

Noonameena - A bush sleeping place
The grass was mowed neatly and the property was as explained and in a good location. Sibby has put in a lot of effort on the property. It’s a shame she is feeding the birds, and her dog barks quite a lot. The horses next door were quite smelly. We didn’t get to choose our spot, which ended up being next to horses and closer to the house. Overall we were comfortable but there were a couple of disappointing factors for the price.
