There is an abundance of native animals here including kangaroos, lyre birds, lace monitors, platypus and more! Access is via a short dirt driveway to the riverfront camping area. The access is 2wd unless there has been significant rain it becomes 4wd access.We can accommodate both small and large groups with sites just steps away from the river. We have 2 water entrances, one is a large grassed area with shallow water which is great for kids & families. The other entrance is a natural sandy entry with a deeper swimming area suitable for adults. We also have a beautiful lagoon area where I can arrange additional campers. We have built some new flushing toilets (3) with a hot water shower.We are very accommodating of your pets. We welcome dogs and can host horses in one of the paddocks. Please ensure you contact the host prior to your stay if you are bringing any animals. We have canoes & floats which you can hire to paddle up the river. Additional activities here include fishing, swimming, bushwalking, canoeing & birdwatching. This campsite is so handy! It’s is on the cliff edge outskirt of town, walking distance to Scenic World. Only a 5 minute walk to multiple amazing lookouts, particularly nice at sunset. High pressured hot showers, a camp kitchen with a fridge, sink, and kettle which made it so much easier to do our dishes. Also a $4 washing machine and dryer with a big clothes line.

Stevan’s hilltop camp was private and serene with a great outlook of the surrounding paddocks filled with animals. Stevan provided power and water that are accessible from the camp site. As it is set on a hill levelling is expected and we found the best spot was near where the previous camp fires has been.

First official site we had power for our trip, was a brilliant stay with clean and perfectly functioning amenities. Close to town and perfect distance to get up to all sorts of activities. Sadly, we missed the snow by a week.
