A tranquil riverside setting suitable for all kind of camping ranging from tents to RV’s.
Three hours from Sydney.
Safe and secure and easy access.
The hostess is a gem with little or no interference.
Tip :- keep your camp fires confined to the places that they are set by the hostess and take you rubbish with you.

Beautiful spot by the water, not too crowded considering it was a long weekend. Owner was flexible and kept the toilets clean and restocked, a bit of a walk to go bathroom from our site but glad there was the facilities!

It is a lovely spot and the host was very responsive. It gets very busy and there is no clear delineated spots so boundaries are not defined. Larger more spread out spots with some delineation is recommended.

We stayed here on a public holiday weekend which meant it was at capacity. Gorgeous spot and one of the great things is every site is river front. Access to the river is down the bank which is easy enough and water is gorgeous to swim in.
Drop toilets were very clean.
We stayed towards the back end of the sites for some more privacy, the sites are fairly close together and each have a fire pit.
Id come back here, easy to get to from Sydney and the fresh river to cool off os great.

My partner Julia and I loved camping at Rosemarys campground. She was so friendly and helpful and the place is in a stunning location close by everything in the blue mountains. We will keep in mind for next time :)

Campsite was really beautiful. perfect spot and the river was lovely. What made the experience was even better is when the cows come right past our camp and we’re eating the grass around us.

A great little spot out of the hustle and bustle. A cool stream to soak tired legs from walking. Not enough service to watch a movie and a few mozzies found their way in our van. But the beautiful cows visiting was worth it.

I was somewhat sceptical prior to arrival after my wife mentioned some older reviews.
We turned up, set up camp after a brief drive around, and a few hours later Rosemary drove by and welcomed us.
I had asked about firewood prior and told her we would like some, and I gave her the $20 for it. A few hours passed and I figured that was it, but just around 7pm she drove down in a ute, grandkids in tow in the back and they gave us our wood.
Place was nice, river was stunning. Not too crowded except for New years eve, but they all disappeared the next day.
Didn't have a problem otherwise.

Camp was nice and peaceful. Only one other group whilst we were there. No showers as advertised, no toilet paper, large waste bin but wasn't allowed to put your rubbish in it! Not a bad site but was probably worth around $25 not $49!

The advertisement includes showers. Lucky we researched before arrival, finding many negative reviews about the lack of advertised facilities and how the host chose to handle these issues. I was abruptly told to "bath in the creek like a real camper" and hung up on. I have no problem with proper camping, except that we had already been free camping for 5 nights, it was raining, 13° and we booked (and paid) specifically to have a hot shower. The host did eventually refund us after we escalated our cancellation to Hipcamp support, after it was first declined by the host.
Shame, as this looks like a great site and just needs to be advertised correctly and fairly. I understand droughts, I grew up on tank water and if the facilities arent available, then simply update the advert. Won't be back due to the experience we recieved though

Second visit to Glenroy Cottages Riverside Camping and would recommend. Campsite is nestled in the hills and by the River Lett, with well maintained grass camping areas. There are designated fire pits for most sites along with clean toilets. We love the location as easy to get to Lithgow and beyond.

Family of 3 in a tent for the night. Very quiet river spot shared with a few vans and other tents. Firepits along the riverbank and plenty of timber to get them started. Ground was flat and easy to put pegs in. $25pp for the night. Approx 10 mins from Lithgow. Would go back

The camp area is terrific. The only issue we had was after being there for 3 days with very quiet neighbours we were then inundated with about 40 teens and a few adults who had no regard for our personal space. This was not policed and made our last day very uncomfortable.

I don't recommend this place to anyone because of the owner. The owner is greedy, racist and impolite.
We were over 10 people group and the owner gave us really small space and one campfire. I asked her give us another campfire but she rejected and yelled to us to move our cars and tents. She was yelling and always coming to check us for making us uncomfortable.
I won't come again this place.

My partner and I enjoyed the spaciousness of this site, right next to the river. Options for both shady and sunny spots. The bridge that runs through can be noisy through the night with trucks passing so if you can choose a spot away from the road, that would be ideal. The only thing I have to say that is negative is that the listing is advertised with showers but there aren’t any. There is a toilet block though, but if you’re needing a shower then you’ll be disappointed.

Quiet, clean and convenient to blue mountains.
Nothing against the site but it was a shame to see a young couple leave their rubbish and a camp table behind, it is such a well kept site with signage on the way in regarding taking your rubbish with you and people still leave it! I struggle to know what we have to do to get the message through regarding rubbish and camping!

Sucks to be a hater but this was a terrible experience, only such I’ve had with Hipcamp. I booked this camp after and before two 5 day remote camping stints for its advertised shower facility and proximity to these remote camps but discovered the showers removed upon arrival. When I spoke to the host about this she told me they had been removed for water conservation (fair enough) and that she had told two other campers, totally unrelated, strangers to me, about their removal and so that should be enough. When I asked for a refund to contribute to a stay somewhere with a shower, since that’s what I was booking for, Rosemary the host told me I could bathe in the river and hung up the phone on me. Odd and rude, would NOT recommend, unimpressed about my forced donation.

Rosemary was an excellent host and answered all our questions. Beautiful location right on the creek which was perfect spot for a refreshing "fresh" swim! Cows are friendly too 😀

Glenroy Cottage and Camping is a beautiful and peaceful spot to relax and unwind. The whole area is very well maintained, clean, and perfect for a quiet getaway. I used my own toilet during the stay, but the overall campground facilities and environment were still excellent.
The rope swing by the water is a fun highlight and adds to the charm of the place. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
Overall, a lovely spot with great vibes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice camping location around Hartley!
