Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Danny’s place was absolutely incredible — the perfect combination of peaceful nature, fresh mountain air, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Danny made us feel welcome and well-looked-after. The land is stunning, quiet, and full of beautiful spots to explore and relax. We came for a short getaway and left completely recharged. The scenery, the clean fresh water, the tranquillity of the bush, and the feeling of privacy made our stay unforgettable. Danny was always helpful, answered all our questions, and guided us with everything we needed. You can truly feel how much care and effort he puts into maintaining such a unique place. Weekend Trip to Riveroak Farm

We booked the entire beach site for our family gathering. It was a brilliant weekend. Vanessa was very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. The campsite was beautiful and clean. The kids (big and little) had so much fun exploring the river. Loved sitting with a coffee in the morning enjoying the rich bird life. Saw a big old wombat and enjoyed watching the horses playing in the river on their daily visit. Very peaceful and relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit.

3 nights at "Oakview" Tarana

Amazing property with room to explore and views in all directions. The host was extremely accommodating with great communication. There was plenty of open space to setup camp with immediate access to the river. The large property provides a private experience which allows you to relax in your own peace and quiet. Deep holes and rocky shallows offered a place to cool off in the heat of the day as well as great fishing for anglers. Looking forward to returning.

Wildwoods is in a beautifully private area in Megalong Valley. It's a bit of a trek through windey dirt roads to get to the Rice Flower campsite but worth the effort. A gorgeous spot that feels like the middle of nowhere with views of the mountain. Claudia respected privacy but was available if needed. Would love to visit again.

Fabulous location and hosts. Had the river frontage all to ourselves. Indulged in the breakfast pack, Angela makes the best baked beans and bread. Tarana markets were on the Sunday, great atmosphere and local produce. Wildlife in abundance. Just a great getaway, looking forward to coming back. Thanks Angela and Tony for hosting.

We stayed in paddock camp with our kids in our 23' van. Fantastic spot for us: heaps of space, beautiful surrounds, quiet with wildlife all around. Fire pit and picnic bench for sunset dinners were bonuses! Megalong Road in is a bit tight towing large van but doable and amazing rainforest to drive through. We used it as a base to explore the Blue Mountains but note it's approx 20min drive to Blackheath and 35 to Katoomba. So much to see around the Megalong Valley though.
