Just returned from a weekend with our old dog at Wombat Flat, great place to unwind. Large level area that is private and quiet. Plenty of shade if it’s hot and about 50m from a wide slow flowing creek (beware submerged branches from recent floods?). Very peaceful, no boats, tiny whisper of traffic noise that gets drowned out by the birds. Wombat one night, friendly horses and cows if you go for a wander thru the paddocks. Thought it was a little pricey but there was a pile of cut wood at camp and the solitude was just what we were looking for. If you’re looking to be entertained you won’t find it at Wombat Flats, strictly BYO fun in whatever form you choose. Sanctuary Point, Huskisson,

Very well located camping facility next to Goulburn. The designated area has some open grass for campfires and general activities, trees to explore and collect firewood from, and a small pond. Our 2-night stay gave us the chance to switch off from the city and immerse in the sounds of frogs and birds at night, while daytime was spent spotting the odd wallaby (and a feral deer) amongst the woods. It was also very nice for the hosts to put our 2 tents close to each other, since we came as 2 families and this allowed us to do all activities together instead of being on opposite ends of the property. Omar and Mya are very hospitable hosts and have excellent knowledge of their property to make a stay here a real treat!

We had a lovely stay – such a peaceful and beautiful location! The tent was cosy and very comfortable for two adults. It was a bit of a squeeze with kids, but we made it work and they absolutely loved collecting wood and exploring the area.
The space was clean, and the beds were great – warm and inviting after a day outside. There’s a grill over the firepit and plenty of wood around to collect, which made for great family fun.
Do note that there’s no cooking equipment or seating, so we recommend bringing your own table, chairs, and kitchen/eating gear. Also, if you’re staying in cooler weather, bring a few extra blankets.
A lovely glamping experience overall. Thanks for having us!

This is a beautiful site that feels very remote and peaceful, the owners have a bell tent set up in a small cozy area of the bush land with mattresses inside. Additionally they provided us with a diesel petrol mix to help start up a fire and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us to enjoy the serenity of the nature. The area is abundant with wildlife, we actually woke up to a herd of goats walking thru our campsite which was an amazing morning surprise. I feel I need to also mention, this place is called stary ponds for a reason, the stars are nothing short of amazing. As someone who loves stargazing and photographing the night sky I absolutely loved the experience here.
Would 100% recommend✌️
