Towrang Farmstay is located on the 25-acre property “Kiama”, offering your own private and very comfortable homestead cottage. Towrang Farmstay is just 20 minutes from Goulburn and Marulan and far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We offer self-contained accommodation for up to 8 guests in a beautifully appointed homestead with all modern conveniences. The house and the farm are yours during your stay. Families love the complete experience of farm life where the kids can be introduced to friendly farm animals! Towrang Farmstay is popular with regular visitors to Goulburn, Wakefield Park Raceway, and those seeking an authentic country holiday. The homestead at Towrang Farm Stay is an original shearer’s cottage, part of a larger landholding. Completely destroyed by fire the stone walls remained intact and the cottage was completely rebuilt recently to a luxurious country house. The farm itself today occupies 25 acres with stock paddocks, a lake, and gardens and is surrounded by a rolling countryside of sheep and cattle farms with majestic views towards the horizon. The cottage is accessed via a tree-lined driveway from Towrang Road which is fully sealed to the Hume Highway. The current owner has stocked the farm with ‘rescued’ animals which she has nursed back to health, including farm animals and retired racehorses. Her care for the animals has made them friendly to visitors who can interact and care for them during their stay, providing a complete farm life experience for all the family! Children and guests love petting or feeding the sheep, horses, geese, and chickens and doing some daily farm chores during their stay – including collecting the free-range eggs for breakfast locking up the chooks for the evening, and letting them out in the morning. The resident cat is also friendly to children. In season there is plenty of fresh fruit to be picked in the orchard and the dam is stocked with trout. (Fishing rods are supplied – catch your own dinner!) The homestead itself is spacious and equipped with all the conveniences for your stay. Three queen bedrooms cater for up to 6 guests, with a sofa lounge sleeping another two. A fully stocked pantry in the large country kitchen has basic provisions – all you need to bring is the food for your meals. There are lots of places in the garden and the wrap-around verandah to sit and relax plus a gas barbecue and table settings for al fresco meals. Awakened to the sound of bird calls. Experience native fauna – kangaroos and wombats often pass by!
