From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. We're located just 5kms north-east of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. This is a very large area in an open paddock with good access for caravans and large vehicles. You may well be the only people here though there’s is room for 10 vans. There is a view of the Broken Creek which is close to the property & easily accessible by a short walk. We’re are a 10 minute drive to Waaia with an excellent pub and the small town of Nathalia which has a supermarket, hotels, fuel, post office, bakery, gift & clothing stores & other businesses. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming and the amenities are great. We really appreciated the lovely camp fire and the toilets and hot shower. The campground is very spacious, and even though there weren’t many other campers during our stay, the area is so big that I’m sure it still feels comfortable when it’s busier. Julie was incredible — very welcoming. The facilities were spotless, with super clean bathrooms and hot showers for just $2. Highly recommend, and we’d definitely come back again! 🌿

Lovely grassed open area to camp next to the river. There were several toilets around the camp which were clean and practical to use. Julie managed to get us a drum and some firewood which worked really well on a chilly night.

Great directions and a very easy check in. The most difficult part was deciding where to set up. There is a huge amount of space to spread out. The dogs loved it. One of the better Hipcamp sites we have been too. Well kept grounds, multiple toilets that are very clean and Julie was lovely. It is approx. 20 mins to Echuca for supplies and cafes but there is also a BP servo 5 mins away for any emergancy supplies.

We had such a wonderful camping experience! We were lucky to have the whole campsite all to ourselves — peaceful and relaxing. The place was clean and well-maintained. Despite the rainy weather, the beautiful river view and the overall experience made it all worth it. We didn’t mind the boats passing by — it actually added a nice touch to the scenery. The river was warm and perfect for swimming, and the kids had so much fun! Definitely a memorable trip and a spot we’d love to visit again.
