We are farmers, living the dream on 500 acres in beautiful Bellingen. Our farm is called Levenvale Farm. You will feel a million miles away, yet we are only 7mins into the town of Bellingen. We run an organic cattle property and have found a few spots around our farm to share with campers and glampers. Our campsites are "Beyond the Bridge" and "Old Flat Camp". Both are on cattle paddocks and have private access to Hydes Creek. Hydes Creek is a murky sandy base creek. There's lots of logs so its not recommend to jump in, but it's beautiful to cool off in the creek on a hot day. Both campsites have access to our compost toilet, and camping shower (gas hot water). If you prefer a bit more comfort or don't have your own camping gear, you can escape the hustle and enjoy being perched up on one of the highest points on the farm (with incredible views), in our Farm Huts. Both mHuts are furnished with beds and linen with limited power. Both gave private ensuite with compost toilet, gas hot water shower and basic kitchen. Book these Huts via our farm website. At all our campsites, we welcome you to have a small fire, and cook up a BBQ. Our Farm Shop is open 24/7 to self serve and grab some organic beef sausages or steaks. Never Never Park is a Sub-Tropical Rainforest property which borders the ancient Gondwana World Heritage National Park on 2 sides including along Coopernook creek. Both are on cattle paddocks and have private access to Hydes Creek. Hydes Creek is a murky sandy base creek. The large and grassy campsites are located on the banks of the Clarence River where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, water skiing and jet skiing. Guests staying with us are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campers can launch a boat from the property to enjoy all the river has to offer. You can drive the boat to the Ulmarra Hotel nearby, they have a jetty where you can park and enjoy a feed and a drink. You also can take the Ulmarra Ferry and Drive to the Ulmarra Hotel for dinner or lunch. You can access the property via road from Grafton or via Ferry from Lawrence and Maclean. We are located just 11kms from Grafton should you need any supplies. Please note, caravans are not permitted on the Ferry but camper trailers are okay. What an incredible site...certainly was an oasis. Excellent facilities and the setting was amazing. The availability of a washing machine and airer was so welcome. The directions should simply say drive along the track after going through the gateway until the track ends. I would certainly recommend the site.

Had a great stay Here. We were greeted by both host upon arrival and shortly after. Only downside was that there was no signal where we were staying, and they only offer 10 amp for electrical. But that was said when we booked. Overal was great for a night !

Awesome green huge area with enough space for everyone. We were a bit worried about the place would be overcrowded, but the number of visitors after 4th of Jan were very minor (about 15). The sites could be picked up under shade and on the sunny spots. Access to the creek is awesome to have a refreshing bath. Toilet area is kept clean. There’s laundry area as well. Drinking water is also available.

Really beautiful land with lush grass sites and a shallow running creek nearby. Plenty of space to pitch where you like and not feel cramped. Toilets, showers and laundry are clean and comfortable. Large fire pit and bbq area with power points to run to your site if you’re close enough. Plenty of more secluded spots to pitch if you don’t need power. There’s a volleyball net so bring a ball. Very patchy mobile connection but there was a slow wifi connection at the laundry for quick check ins. Fabulous weekend!!! Thanks Lars

Where to go

Minnie Water Beach

Sometimes called Main Beach by the locals, Minnie Water Beach is a 1-kilometre strip of white sand, popular for quiet getaways, fishing, and surfing—especially for beginners. The beach is patrolled during holidays, making it a safe spot for shallow swimming and splashing in the Pacific Ocean. Sign up for surfing lessons near Rocky Point on the north end, or launch a boat from the southern tip for deep-sea fishing. Then pitch a tent or stake a swag at nearby primitive campsites that are right on the water. For a comfortable stay, try a cabin rental or caravan park with electric hookups, toilets, showers, and BBQ facilities just down the road.

Yuraygir National Park

Surrounding the village of Minnie Water on three sides, Yuraygir National Park delivers quiet treks through natural coastal regions teeming with wildlife and ocean views. Angophora Grove walk and Rocky Point walk are popular walking trails. But the best place for watching whales and capturing sunset views on the ocean is from the Tree of Knowledge lookout on the south end of Minnie Water Beach. Campers who want to stay nearby can venture inland for a choice of holiday parks with caravan and tent camping options and several amenities.

Solitary Islands Marine Park

A day trip to Solitary Islands Marine Park, about an hour south of Minnie Water, includes everything from snorkelling and diving to learning about the region’s diverse marine life and the Solitary Islands, after which the park was named. Book a dolphin or whale-watching tour, or throw in a fishing line from one of the recreational fishing zones along the coast. With more than 710 square kilometres to explore, campers can rest easy from a resort-style cabin at one of the holiday parks nearby.

When to go

The milder temperatures of spring and autumn draw the biggest crowds to Minnie Water’s pristine beaches and camping areas. Surfing, diving, and snorkelling are preferable during summer months, while nature lovers like springtime’s bouquet of wildflowers that blanket the terrain. Fall is ideal for stargazing and campfires when the skies are generally clear and evening temperatures are chillier. Be sure to pack binoculars if visiting Minnie Water between June and November—the village has a prime spot for watching humpback whales.
