Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

4WD vehicles & high clearance caravans are recommended and able to camp throughout the property and are recommended. 2WD wheel drive vehicles are able to camp at locations earlier in the property.

The Abundance Nursery and Cafe with it's splendid lily pond view is a great spot to enjoy a meal or a coffee and only 3 kms back along Rawdon Island road.
The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era.
Drop into the Vibe Coffee House, pick up "the best" coffee and a sensational meal before perusing the many treasures of Wauchope's specialty shops.
A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through.
Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away.
And then; there's Port Macquarie (20 mins) and sorrounds! one of the most scenic and attraction packed areas of Australia's eastern seaboard. Stunning beaches, amazing walks, top class restaurants, the list goes on.

Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era.
Drop into the Vibe Coffee House, pick up "the best" coffee and a sensational meal before perusing the many treasures of Wauchope's specialty shops.
A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through.
Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away.
And then; there's Port Macquarie (20 mins) and sorrounds! one of the most scenic and attraction packed areas of Australia's eastern seaboard. Stunning beaches, amazing walks, top class restaurants, the list goes on.

Lake Veiw was an absolute treat. The site was private and being right on the water front was fabulous. The kids were able to send there kayaks into the dam right while we could watch them. The dog was able to roam off leash and enjoy himself.
The access with a 22ft was alittle tight, especially since we arrived in wet weather but with my husbands experience with vehicles he was able to pull it off.
The amenities were not far and was great when needed.
I loved there was a dump point and bins on the way out.

What an amazing spot!! We camped in the Middle Ridge campsite and it was perfect! 3 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs. Short easy walk to the clean amenities. Onsite caretaker was friendly and helpful when needed. Beautiful sunset around the campfire. We will be back for sure!

A gorgeous, peaceful stay on the riverbank. Highly recommend for families as there is plenty to keep the kiddies entertained, especially kayaking and playing amongst the farm animals

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Travellers Rest. It is so quiet and peaceful and the scenery is wonderful. We were able to have our dog (Westie) off the leash most of the time.
Katie and Craig were very friendly and helpful when needed.
The ensuite bathroom was great to have as a back up, it’s very clean and spacious.
We would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

Travellers rest was such a good find.
It was the perfect spot to stay on my way up the coast. Close to the freeway but not close enough to hear any traffic.
The host wasn even nice enough to come meet me out the front as I didn’t arrive till after
Dark.

Christie’s camp is immaculate with all of the facilities you would ever need it is truly a glamping experience. This camp is ideal for first time campers or campers with the bare minimum as she has it all.
The location is ideal for exploring the mid north coast and is close to great cafes pubs beaches etc.

Where to begin - the facilities are awesome they feel almost brand new. The site is close enough to Port Macquarie it makes nipping in and out easy whilst still having the feeling of being off the grid. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves but even if the other site had been booked it still would have been nice. Chrissie is a massive legend and we will definitely be back. And last but not least Chrissie is lucky she wasn’t missing a dog when we left because we fell completely in love with Mr Ray (and the others) another gorgeous Kelpie just like ours. Honestly we had the best time . Thank you so so much x
