Stroll through the beautiful bush surroundings, visit the water lilies, and say hello to the roaming peacocks. The campsites are located on a grassed area surrounded by a corridor of tall trees for your shade and comfort. We're not far from the beach, with Grassy Heads being the closest beach. While you're exploring why not check out Scott’s Head and South West Rocks for the amazing vistas. Refresh and recharge in the Magnesium pool and detox in our sauna (please book access under our Extras). Warm your soul around the campfire in the evening. Firewood is available (please see our Extras). Campers at the Eclectic Bush Haven will enjoy our fantastic camp kitchen, along with amenities including hot showers and flushing toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Webber BBQ, gas cooktop, large fridge, lighting and power. (IMPORTANT: Campers who book the Yarralen Retreat Camp Ground 2 area DO NOT have access to these facilities, we expect campers in this area to be fully self-contained) For your convenience entry to the property and main camping area is via our asphalt driveway, which suits all vehicles. The original homestead has been fully renovated. It has 5 bedrooms, sleeps 10 and is fully equipped. It complements the shed, and is ideal for large family groups to take both accommodations. The farm practices holistic management including cell grazing, Rudolph Steiner practices and low stress stock-handling. Bill and Louise love showing people around the property and sharing insights into how they manage the land. There is an abundance of birdlife and wildlife for people to enjoy or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet and spectacular stars at night.

In the hinterland of the Mid North Coast NSW on Biripi Country. Balgarr means mountain in local Gattang language. This delightful self contained cabin is a perfect getaway for you to work on your project – be it visual art; a book; a film script; photography or simply forest breathing to clear the mind. The cabin is off grid, includes a small kitchenette with 2 burner gas stove, fridge, has double bed and 2 single beds. We have a BBQ and fire pit. This is rustic living, no flash flush here but a practical long drop eco-friendly compost toilet and a fantastic gas hot water shower out in the elements! As we are 45 minutes from the closest town, so you will need to fuel up before you head up the mountain. Also bring drinking water and all the food you will require for your stay. You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows sheets etc. we are on tank water and at times it is low! Dogs are welcome but please bring their own bedding. The property is also home to local wildlife and filled with lots of old trees, plants and flowers to enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony. Loads of walking tracks nearby; the Legendary Ellenborough Falls is 5 mins by car or half hour walk through the Elands Village Hour and half from Port Macquarie and Forster and one hour from Taree in the hinterland from Wingham or Comboyne (coming from Port Macquarie). There is an endless network of gravel roads and fire trails waiting to be explored by vehicle or mountain bike, taking you through the national parks, state forests and undulating farmlands of the Bulga Plateau. 600 metres above sea level on clear nights it feels like you are close enough to touch the Milky Way!
