Located on the stunning Tumut River, where River Red gums are scattered though out the camp,offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it!
Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level.
You will have access to pit toilets (3) otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking.
We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking.
Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended.
During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

What an incredible location! We were parked up along the clear, refreshing, flowing, Tumut River that was surrounded by an abundance of beautiful Australian birdlife. Property was clean and well maintained. We loved our stay and will be back again, thank you!

A lovely campground right on the Tumut River. We had the best time swimming in the river and just slowing down and relaxing in such a peaceful setting. The host was very welcoming which made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a calm, nature-filled getaway.

What an absolutely amazing spot. We were perched up right on the river and had some amazing neighbours that our kids formed some lifelong friendships with. Dinners by the campfire, days spent lazing by the river and exploring the area was so easy from this spot. The host Wayne is an absolute legend. Such a great bloke and super helpful and a good person to have a chat with. Couldn’t recommend more highly and will be back for the same trip next year.

Great spots right along the river. The river was too fast for our little ones but Wayne showed us a nice little spot they could dip their feet and they enjoyed watching people float down the river. Speaking of Wayne, he was regularly out and about checking in on everyone.

We had a great one night stay at Leah's beautiful farm. The check in was super smooth and the facilities are excellent. We were even invited to (and did in fact) have a swim in the pool. Our campsite was surrounded by lots of native birdlife including wrens and red rumped parrots which was so lovely in the morning. Highly recommend a stay here!

this is one of the best hi-camp we've ever been in.
Leah is such a wonderful host, keen to share with us what she does, with her garden, chicks (160 chicks !!) - we could cook a great omelet with fresh eggs ! fruit trees of various types... etc, This is a small bit of paradise. The view is gorgeous, it is quiet, you have access to shower/toilets inside her house.
We highly recommend and would certainly come back if we are around !

An amazing Hipcamp in a beautiful part of Wagga Wagga.
Leah was incredibly accommodating, not just to us but to all her guests, going out of her way to ensure everyone had a great stay.
The highlights were the stunning sunsets and sunrises, absolutely beautiful against the rural backdrop.
And Coco, the farm’s “guardian” dog, deserves a special mention — she played so well with our pups.
We’ll definitely be back!

We fell in love with this place instantly!
Wayne was there to meet us with his fur babies is clearly a genuine and good human who has generously opened up his space for others to delight in.
The river was cold, strong, clear and divine.
There were cows, kookaburras, ducks, fish, horses, goats and sheep to keep us company.
The sites were grassy and shaded and, although it was busy in between Christmas and New Year, we had privacy and there was a really beautiful community of people on site.
We’ll be back to explore this stunning part of the world again soon, tomorrow if we could.
