It is a 10 min drive from Nelligen town centre and a 20 min drive from Batemans Bay. If you need supplies you can also travel by boat into Batemans Bay and tie up to many of its wharfs for that different experience.
The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream.
You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water.
The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region.
Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper).
This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day.
The property has Mobile Telstra coverage for added security (No Wifi)

We are a family of 4 with 2 school aged boys. We have travelled extensively around Australia and are familiar with the caravanning lifestyle. Pitch your self contained camper or caravan in our secluded garden in Bundanoon. We are only 0.5 acre but there is plenty of space for kids and well behaved dogs. Depending on the size of your set up and rainfall you will either be on grass at the back of our garden with moderate privacy or at the front of the house on gravel - not as much privacy.
We have a fire pit, (firewood available) and the garden is child and dog friendly. We hand feed the wild king parrots and our resident blue tongue lizard, named Bluey!
Hook up to water and power and you can manually empty cassettes. Wifi is available but can be unreliable. Bundanoon village is only 1.4kms away. The pub is even closer! Moreton National park is only 2.5kms away and we are familiar with the walks there.
We will mostly be around if you need us and are more than happy to recommend places to visit and eat. I can also offer wholesome home cooked meals or meal hampers - please message me ahead of time to enquire / arrange. Bundanoon has a small IGA, several restaurants (including a decent Thai and Italian), pharmacy, post office, newsagent, multiple cafes and various shops.

Dam view campsite was easy to access and overall had a pleasant stay.
Toilet was a short walk and was easy to access throughout the night.
It was lovely to wake up to roosters crowing in morning.
There is two sites one near the dam and the other that overlooks the actual dam itself.
Would definitely come back for another stay

The area is incredibly peaceful, right my the river banks with plenty of electric hookups to choose from!
Facilities are also very useful and kept clean.
It is a very long dirt track go the site ( roughly 20 minutes drive)
Would recommend however and if in the area would stay again!

Every site looks over the beautiful Clyde river..
Basic facilities but at the same time all you need, good shower and toilet..
Took my chocolate Labrador, Angus, he loved it..

Nice view, quite easy to access the river like swimming or boating.
Bad:
Only one bath/toilet, need to queue outside sometimes. Bath temp sometimes is low and unstable.
Entry road is dirt and bouncy for around 8km, good for 4WD or SUV but could be unfriendly or even harmful for sedan or luxury cars so please be prepared for that.

A little off the path down a winding river road, but that means you get a more remote and scenic camp spot! They let us check in on Xmas eve which was very accommodating and we had a site right up along the river.

Lyrebird was the perfect retreat for us to recover from a stressful year. A quiet and tranquil space where we could relax with our dogs and watch the birdlife on the deck, wander through the olive grove and say hello to the horses and goats, or potter down to the lily pond where the sauna was located.
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful; creating the perfect the first Hipcamp experience for us all, including some treats for us to feed the horses who were so friendly.
The cottage contains all you need, and is full of light and birdsong. We appreciated having a hot shower and absolutely loved the deck. Did not want to leave and wished we had booked a third night. I have not slept so soundly in a long time.
We used a portable dog fence to secure our dogs on the deck while we transported items to and from the cottage, and had long leads for walks so they could have some space without bothering livestock or wildlife. There were a lot of kangaroos when we went for a walk up the road, plus birdlife and cattle.

Amazing location on the banks of the Clyde River but still accessible to Batemans Bay for supplies and activities. Loved being able to swim, fish & kayak straight from camp, and plenty of space for peace and privacy. Ross and Lisa were amazing hosts, thankyou for having us on your beautiful property.

We had a great stay at this campsite! The site was clean, peaceful, and exactly as described. Plenty of space and privacy, perfect for a relaxing camping trip. The host was friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience very smooth.
Really appreciated the quiet atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings — it felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this spot to others and would love to come back again in the future!
