The driveway to the property is long and steep. A 4WD/AWD is required.
The Site:
The campsite has its own access and is surrounded by garden and bush with abundant wildlife. There are two dams nearby one of which has two kayaks for you to use and you can go for beautiful walks to explore the surrounding conservation bush land. A camping toilet with a small tent around is provided by us.
The host’s house is a 5 minute walk away from the tent on the same property but cannot be seen or heard. While we are always available for questions and anything you need, we also value our privacy and will respect yours.
Kids:
Babies and kids are more than welcome! We can provide a portacot, a baby bath, high chair and baby or kids toys upon request and if there is anything else you need to make your stay easier or more comfortable just let us know.

TJ's has over 1000 acres of mixed beautifully grassed areas, surrounding Aussie bush, and a sand based seasonal river (the river is not always flowing fully). Where you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Australia Bush, taking in the stunning views, listening to the wildlife, star gazing, go bush walking, splash in our crystal clear seasonal river or bring out your adventure side and go 4wding.
Pets are definitely welcome, but please be sensible and do not bring them if they are aggressive. Please pick up after him/her (there is nothing worse than stepping in a dog dropping).
Horses also welcome - we have a fenced cattle yard.

We had such a beautiful camping experience at this ranch. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, open, and incredibly refreshing. The orchard views, fresh air, and wide green spaces created the perfect environment to unwind and reconnect with nature.
The grounds were well maintained, spacious, and ideal for both relaxation and family time. Waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying quiet evenings under the sky made it feel like a true escape from the busyness of everyday life. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and just be present.
It felt safe, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a family camping trip, or simply time to reset, this ranch offers the perfect setting.
Last but not the least,the kids had the best tym,they enjoyed the tractor ride,feeding the animal and walk to the water fall. It was wonderful.
We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.

This is such a beautiful and precious hip camp. The people that run the farm are so lovely and very accomodating. They do tours on weekends and take you to their animals. /teach you about the farm and its history.
There is a really lovely waterfall and walk and the orchards are beautiful to walk around with tasteful oranges!
The funds raised from the hip camp goes to the Rotary charity in many countries it is a very cool concept.
We would highly recommend checking this out!

Lovely place. Very scenic and peaceful. Would benefit from toilet upgrade. We almost cooked inside the tin shed with the warm weather. No escape from warm weather with not being allowed in the water and not much shade. Caretaker was lovely. Kids loved the animals being around to say hello to. Would go back but maybe not in summer.

We really liked Glenworth, very tucked away and serene. Plenty of space and in a lovely setting by the creek with fields of horses around. The facilities are decent for the price although I can see if there’s more people you might be waiting a bit for the shower. Would recommend!

The best waterfall camping near Glenworth Valley guide
Where to go
Popran National Park
A short drive from Glenworth Valley, the Popran National Park is a great day-trip destination for campers in the area as there are no campsites within the park itself. Visitors can hike, mountain bike, kayak, fish, ride horses, and spot birds and animals. The park also protects a number of Aboriginal sites and there’s a picnic area. Most roads to the park require a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Brisbane Water National Park
Just southeast of Glenworth Valley, the Brisbane Water National Park offers walks, cycling, and fishing, and has some ancient Aboriginal rock art sites. There’s a small, basic bush tent site within the park or visitors can stay at Glenworth Valley or nearby coastal campsites at Umina or Gosford and make day trips into the park. Road access into this park does not require a four-wheel-drive vehicle so this is a good option for casual visits.
Dharug National Park
West of Glenworth Valley, on the other side of Mangrove Creek (a tributary of the Hawkesbury River), the large Dharug National Park contains the UNESCO-listed Old Great North Road hike. There are also other hiking and cycling routes and two campsites. The Ten Mile Hollow Campground is small and free to stay at (although bookings are required), while the Mill Creek Campground is larger and has more facilities, and fees apply.
When to go
Spring and autumn are the best times to visit the Glenworth Valley area for hiking, biking, kayaking, and horse-riding adventures. The weather is most comfortable then. Summers are hot and the risk from bushfires is high, but this is a good season if you want to visit the nearby beaches of the Central Coast. Winters are mild but often wet, and glamping or staying in a cabin or cottage would be most comfortable.
