The small township of Wolumla is within walking distance and consists of a great pub and a general store. A short drive further you'll find Candelo, which has its own pub and general store as well as a showground and the country markets held the first Sunday of each month.
Merimbula is 10 mins away with great cafes and shops and beautiful beaches.
Campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

There is plenty to see and do in the area including exploring the nearby National Parks including Bournda and Beowa. Riverview is just a five-minute drive from the famous Bega Cheese Factory located in Bega, NSW. Our 33-acre property has 360-degree views of mountains, rolling farmland, and countryside and it overlooks the beautiful Bega River.
Tathra is just 15 minutes drive away, with Merimbula around 25 minutes, Bermagui 45 minutes, and Eden 35 minutes. All of these towns have beautiful beaches, fishing, boating, whale-watching tours, and much more.
Pack a picnic and walk to the river just down the hill from your camp site. The Bega river is clean fresh water and is well worth a visit on a hot day to cool off. Your hosts can show you a secluded area of the river that you can access easily. The whole area has an array of beautiful spots to explore both on the property and along the riverside. Jackie is always willing to give fresh produce from her veggie garden during your stay just to make you feel welcome. There are horses you can pat and a few sheep that are very friendly and love to be given bread.
The historic Bega Cheese Factory and Heritage Center is just a couple of minutes away. The main shopping center and mall in town is just a five-minute drive.

376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. Brogo Dam is excellent location for a swim and to take your dogs for a walk or swim. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach.
The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds.
The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views.
in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this). If you have queries regarding access check photos in gallery or please ask me. Flushing toilet on site. Dogs permitted. Good telephone and internet reception. Ideal for flying your new drone.

Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf.
There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed.
To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is.
To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here.
To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley.
For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui.
For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast.

• offer an evening round the fire pit, if the conditions are suitable
• make a gas barbecue available, if you let us know

Meredith was a great host, very obliging with lots of help with directions on the best places to camp and the properties facilities. Lots of room on a huge property, each site is well spaced away from each other. Plenty of wildlife to see when you’re out exploring the property.

Staying at Millingandi station for the three nights was a wonderful experience. Peaceful, tranquil. The river was just gorgeous. Jodie was absolutely gorgeous. The farm fresh eggs were to die for and the fresh herbs in the garden really were a treat. I would highly recommend staying here.

Had a great stay at Jodie's place. We stayed down by the river. Sites were so spacious. Our neighbours were far from us. Short walk to the drop toilet. Well maintained. Loved the small things such as the soap by the toilets. A hole had been drilled through it and attached to the tap. So loved the communal veggie garden. Had some delicious beetroot and herbs.
Much better option than staying in crowded caravan park in town.

What a great camp setup. The camp shed with the kitchen and shower is like being in an Australian outback type feel but in green pasture land. Water, flushing toilet even electric power is available. Outdoor bath is well placed for an overlooking view of the valley. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the sapphire homestead site. The views are incredible and it's so quiet and relaxing. The added bonus of possibly the most luxurious shower with hot water! Better than hotel showers! We stayed for 3 nights and had one of those nights with no other campers so we had a beautiful outdoor bath. Our hosts kept us updated during the stay.

Had a lovely 3 night stay at this Hipcamp. Julie and David were very welcoming and helpful. It’s is situated not far from Merimbula and Pambula so great location for exploring the area. Had a great meal at the local pub which is not far away. There is a nice level spot to park your van and the toilet with a view is clean and no smells! Highly recommend this Hipcamp, great value for money.

This place and the people embody everything that’s great about Hipcamp and Australia! This is by far the best location we’ve stopped in on our way across Australia from WA throughout SA and Victoria. Stunning, ever changing views, peace and quiet but close enough to anything you might need and Julie and Dave were the most wonderful hosts. We truly loved our 6 days here and would happily make it 6 weeks or months!
Maybe we’ll never get back in again once word gets around but this place is so special it deserves to be experienced by many and Julie and Dave should definitely get the recognition they deserve for hosting this perfect piece of paradise.

We loved that we could get our big rig (8.5m plus tow car into the property). Beautiful spot, well kept paddock with filtered water views. Sooo peaceful we had the place to ourselves. Dan and Lou were amazing hosts. We loved being a short drive from beaches, town and having the pristine bush/country vibe.

What a lovely spot. The directions were clear and easy to follow. David came by to make sure we're ok and was lovely to have a chat with. Walking distance to the pub. Had a fantastic night and being able to have a fire with wood supplied was great. Definitely recommend.

The sites in The Paddock are grassy, flat and well
maintained and the provision of power, water and a sani-dump in a Hipcamp site was a nice bonus. The vegetable garden (with produce available for campers) was a nice touch.
The only downside (and it’s definitely not a deal breaker) to The Paddock site is that sits adjacent to the Princess Highway. So evening and morning highway noise can be a little bit of an ambiance killer. That being said, after about 10pm - blissful quiet for the most part. The other sites down by the river are probably a little more protected.
Overall, great camp, great location between Merimbula and Pambula and we’ll be back soon.
