We endeavour to provide a peaceful environment, and this is generally a lovely quiet location which more than fulfils our own personal requirements for an undisturbed lifestyle, and will no doubt do so for the vast majority of campers. But we can’t guarantee it will always be completely silent during the day or at night- especially if the lambs or calves or foals are being weaned from their mothers! Ear plugs are available for light sleepers if required. And if you are an extremely noise sensitive person or someone who wants a private camping experience with no noise or neighbouring houses visible, this may not be the right spot for you (if this is you, we would recommend looking for a more remote stay on a large acreage which will provide you with a more private experience) * And while on the topic- if partying late into the night with loud music, a thumping base on your sound system and extremely raucous singing and laughter is your thing, then this is not the right camping spot for you. While we are all for socialising and having fun, if you want to party loudly into the wee hours we would suggest finding a camping spot far away from neighbouring properties where the sound doesn’t carry for miles across the land. We had an amazing stay! Sally and her wonderful family made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their property is beautiful and perfect for camping plenty of space, peaceful farm surroundings, and lots of friendly animals. My 9-year-old had an absolute blast spending time near the horses, goats, the sweetest dogs, and spotting native birds. A special mention to Sally’s son, who became the best “local guide” my boy could ask for. He was an incredibly lovely, friendly, and super polite young gentleman "truly a highlight of our stay". We stayed in a powered site close to the farm, which was super convenient, but they also offer unpowered sites that are a bit more private if you prefer a quieter spot. Both options are great. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a fantastic experience for families and anyone who wants a relaxed and welcoming farm-style camping getaway. We’ll definitely be returning!

Carole was a friendly and generous host. I was given wood, eggs, oranges, spinach and even a salve for my sprained ankle. My camp site, situated at the bottom of their back garden, was right on the creek and felt like a bush setting. Plenty of animals -peacocks, geese, goats, chooks, to see, but not unfortunately the elusive platypus. But they did set up a TV documentary on platypus for to watch at my convenience. Definitely recommend their Farmstay.

We had such a fantastic stay at Granite Springs Farmstay near Chiltern. From the moment we arrived, Sally was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, and instantly made us feel comfortable. We stayed at Farmstay Site 4A, which was very easy to access and had plenty of room for our setup. The site was private, peaceful, and powered, and we loved being right near a paddock where we could watch the horses and foals playing throughout the day. Sitting outside and watching the sun set over the property was genuinely stunning. The whole atmosphere felt safe, relaxed, and completely stress free. Hearing the gentle nays of the horses added to the charm in the best way. Our kids had an absolute blast meeting and feeding the horses and goats, and they have not stopped talking about the friendly farm animals since we got home. They are already asking when we can come back for a longer stay. A big highlight was swimming at the waterhole, which the kids adored. Sally also took us on a lovely little tour of the vegetable patches, and we even got to try some fresh guinea fowl eggs, which were so tasty. The farm was easy to find, the price was fantastic, and everything felt genuine, warm, and full of country hospitality. We would recommend Granite Springs Farmstay to absolutely anyone looking for a real farm experience. We only stayed one night this time, but we cannot wait to return and spend even more time there.

We had the best time! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left! Animal feeding, swimming in the dam and just sitting back taking it all in. Super easy access, not far from the highway. Loved being able to have the option to hook up to power for a small extra cost. My two girls didn’t stop the whole time, a huge shout out to Joshy who kept them busy showing them all around the farm. We loved the added extra farm tour and animal feeding, a must if you have kids. Can not fault our stay, amazing host’s. The kids are already planning their next visit.

Carole and Peter are lovely hosts. We stayed at Camp 1 which is a little nook down on the creek. We couldn't see the other camp from our spot but the main homestead is close by. The facilities are a short walk away (closer to Camp 2) and were clean with a camp kitchen, shower, drinking water and toilet. We spent 3 nights by the fire watching the stars, and days by the creek under the trees watching the Birdlife (so many birds in that corner! Take your binoculars!) Sadly, we didn't see the resident platypus but we did see the Rekali which was a first and very exciting. Expect to meet the resident animals! We had visits from goats, sheep, dogs, peacocks and chooks! A lovely weekend. Thank you!

We stayed at Camp 2, it's a little flatter and more open than Camp 1. Both sites would be fine for tents, or in our case, a rooftop tent. Vans and larger setups might be better suited to Camp 2. However, both camps are great looking. There is a decent amount of distance between the two camps as well. Their home is nearby, but we always had total privacy and wouldn’t have even noticed anyone. Carole met us when we arrived to show us the site, explain the facilities, and give us a homemade focaccia, which was amazing. We only needed the shower and toilet facilities, and they were all very clean and tidy. There was a kitchen area as well, but we didn’t use it. The campsite was level with great grass coverage and still a decent amount of shade around, with trees to sit under. Fireplaces were available, along with some wood, but of course, this depends on the fire ban status on the day. There are some goats, dogs, and a friendly sheep that roam around, all very friendly. There’s also lots of birdlife, with many types around the river. On a clear night, the stars are amazing. We’d be happy to stay again if we were in the area.

We had an amazing time at Sally and Adam’s property. The farm is well kept and picturesque, with stunning sunsets and sunrises each day! We booked in a farm tour which was excellent, we got to have a look around the farm, feed the animals and hear about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to heading back :)
