Weekend Trip to Lumeah By The Creek Near Waterfalls

What a beautiful spot and the property. We loved our stay at this property amd set up our tent close to the creek so we could listen to the sound of it in the sleep. Great swimming hole, the toilets and shower are clean. The hosts were lovely, helped us with free wood in his ATV and also got us out of the mud we got oursl car stuck in, lol. Top bloke. Will definitely return for the peace and quiet this place offers. Well laid out signs, grassy area to set up your tent and play.

Had an amazing stay at this campsite! The area was beautiful, well-maintained, and had a great setup that made camping easy and enjoyable. Such a beautiful camp-site. We only stayed a couple of nights hope to stay longer next time. Babbling brook to listen to while sleeping, fire pit and gorgeous Tehuti falls swimming hole just up the road. Lots to explore close by and had a great lunch at The Channon.

Had a great lunch up the road at The Channon Hotel also. Peaceful camping spot, great fire pit and lots of nice towns and beautiful nature close by to explore.

Our stay at Lumeah by the Creek was everything we want in a camp-site. We had our tent beside the beautiful Terania Creek. It is as described, and beautiful location and swimming spot. The location is very peaceful, and our dogs loved the space. The hosts provide free firewood and a fire pit, which is such a nice touch. We only stayed one night due to time constraints, but could easily of stayed longer, with many day trips that could be had. Will definitely be back.

We loved the outdoor shower, how amazing to have a warm shower at night staring up at the stars 🤩 It was so great to have the privacy and be out in nature while having the home comforts. It was a really nice holiday and communication was really good with Danielle.

Weekend Trip to The Meadow -Byron Hinterlands Domes

We had an incredible stay in the hinterland inside the dome tents! From the moment we booked, Jane was exceptionally clear and helpful with her instructions, making our arrival and stay seamless. The tents themselves were beautifully set up. One of the highlights was the stunning sunset—sitting outside the tents, we had an unobstructed view of the sky. Stargazers are in for a treat, we caught a few shooting stars. It was truly breathtaking and one of the most peaceful moments of our trip. Thank you, Jane, for providing such a memorable and unique experience. We can't wait to come back!

You might be lucky enough to spot the 3 platypus and will be delighted by the variety of bird song. Explore the many varieties of trees and pick yourself some fruit to enjoy; help yourself to the fresh herbs grown to compliment whichever dish you decide to whip up. At dusk, sit by the fire pit and kick back under the stars while enjoying the sounds of the creek and nature's wilderness. Stock up on supplies from the General Store, only 5 minute's drive, or for your major supermarkets, head into Lismore, 25 minute's drive. Visit Protesters Falls, Tehuti Falls, Whian Whian Falls, and Minyon Falls, just minutes away by car. Swimming holes and nature trails await you. Byron Bay’s beaches are only 45 minutes away. The nearby Channon Pub or the famous monthly Channon markets have all that you need for a delicious, effort-free meal! The Meadow -Byron Hinterlands Domes

The Meadow at Dunoon is located 40 mins from Byron Bay; 20 mins from Bangalow. Its the perfect escape for couples, a small group of friends or families who are seeking a relaxing and environmentally friendly Byron Hinterland break. Our two eco-friendly domes sit on a 120 acre property providing a unique experience with a sense of space and privacy that helps you disengage from the everyday. Access to water and solar power on site. There are 2 domes available for up to 6 guests, with each dome including its own bathroom. Each dome has a queen bed and a single. There is an an outdoor undercover space including a kitchenette area, BBQ, sink, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave & cutlery/crockery. Please note there is no oven or cooktop, only a BBQ. There are two hammocks and outdoor lounges to spend some time enjoying the view and time together. For those looking for a bit of adventure there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Local attractions include: Whiann Whiann Falls- swimming hole- (5 minutes) Nightcap National Park, including spectacular Minyon Falls (30 minutes) Rocky Creek Dam, which has walks and a platypus trail (10 minutes) Eltham Hotel (15 minutes) The Channon Tavern and monthly markets (10 minutes) Bangalow Markets (20 minutes) Important information: Linen not provided. Doona, sheets, pillow tea towels needed. PLEASE NOTE: This is a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this. This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water. Both domes have aircon. The air-con cannot be left on. They were installed so if you have been out exploring all day and return to find a very hot or cold dome it gives you the ability to modify the temperature quickly. Once the dome has been cooled down or heated up (in our experience this takes approximately 10-15 mins) you can switch it off and use the fans provided if the evening is warm. If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day. There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler. Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road. You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region. Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway. In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.

Welcome to the Land of Little Birds! Stay in the comfort of our open plan glamping accomodation, equipped with a main queen bed, a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and single on top, with access to two more airbeds. Explore the 100acre bush surrounds on the property with pre-cut walking tracks and two dams. Lay under the awning in the breeze to watch the many little birds flit through the trees morning and night. Fall asleep to the sound of frogs bleating in the dam just beyond the glamping cabin. You have access to limited solar power to charge any personal devices as well as run camping fridge and smaller camping devices. Shower off with in the sandstone and copper outdoor gas hot water shower while staring out into the bushland. Keep quiet at night to experience the wallabies and possums who live on the property and come in to feed. Spend the evenings staring up at the night sky, with no light pollution as a result of being situated in the middle of 100acres of bush, the stars will be a whole new experience! ✨ For those winter evenings, use the fire pit responsibly to toast some marshmallows and share some quality connection with one another sharing stories and making memories. Alternatively cost up to the indoor fireplace. Look no further than the Lawrence tavern, a short 10 minute drive for your lunch and dinners, right on the river with excellent food, be sure to make a booking. Alternatively cook on the fire, use the bbq or your own camp cooking set up. Please ensure to take all rubbish with you, there is no bin collection to the property through council and by not storing and taking your rubbish you put our wildlife at risk. Garbage bags are on site for you to use and take your rubbish with you. There is a bin at the Lawrence park and river. You are situated 1hr inland from Yamba and the beaches, 30mins from Grafton as a local main hub and 35mins from Maclean. While in the area why not do a spot of fishing while the kids play at the Lawrence park which overlooks the Clarence River and jetty. Fuel and an excellent general store is located at Lawrence General store with a coffee cart open most mornings. So say yes to some down time. Explore the region and come back to a beautiful 100acre slice of quiet bush paradise. Camping toilets are available on site or bring your own. Soon to be upgraded to a composting toilet.

Nature Immersed Cabin & Glamping

This unique abode, has a relaxed feel on a 5 acre property, close to the Byron town (only 13kms) but far enough away to enjoy the solitude the hinterlands offers with access to wide open fresh air. It consists of a 1964 original vintage caravan, with an open-plan living/dining area, a gorgeous industrial-style bathroom, with a glass ceiling for star gazing & an outdoor fire-pit. The open air living allows guests to feel 100% connected to the natural environment, while at the same time having access to reliable, fast internet along with the comforts of a hot shower, flush loo etc. It is an ideal way to capture the restored feeling from remote camping, without the hassle of taking all your camping gear. Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other side of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a fee of $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. We also request that you kindly ensure that your pet does not go inside the caravan or on any of the furniture including the bed, lounge etc. If there is dog hair in the van or on the couch we may need to charge an extra cleaning fee.
