The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. They are very interactive and most were rescued and hand raised by us so have very unique personalities. There is a nature playground for the kids. Very limited reception. We are pet friendly for well behaved dogs! We have a strict on-leash policy at all times and if your dog is off leash you might be asked to leave. Respect all our animals at all times. We have zero tolerance for disrespect for our farm animals. This includes off leash dogs and allowing your dog to go too close to the farm animals especially the Alpacas. Please leave no trace. Take all waste away with you, during your stay and when you leave. Be considerate of other visitors. Feel free to use the fire pits provided by the farm. You can purchase excellent firewood from the staff or bring your own. The scattered branches on the farm can be picked up and used at will. However, we have zero tolerance for the act of damaging living trees.

Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food. If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses. We had a wonderful stay here — the place is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. It was perfect for our son who loved the animals and play equipment. It felt like a true escape while still being just outside Canberra. Yifu was an exceptional host and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special for our family. He was very responsive, easy to communicate with, and happy to help with any questions. We also appreciated how flexible and approachable he was when it came to our bookings. Kate has a lovely farm. We stayed nestled in trees in one of the pddocks on the flat. Nice and quiet. Our dogs were able to be off leash which was terrific as they are kelpies. Kate is very warm and welcoming. If we were heading back through Jervis Bay way we would stay here again.

Loved it at Wandy. Kate and Dave were lovely hosts. We had the animal tour. Totally recommended lots of cuteness and we got to cuddle a baby goat, and hugs some beautiful donkeys. We were fortunate to arrive and had paddock to ourselves. That said, paddock was huge, plenty of room for other campers. We had cows, alpacas and kangaroos in the paddock with us. It was fabulous.

Overall it was a great camp-site. Plenty of area to choose where to pitch your tent. Cows and horse were in close proximity, but not intrusive to the camp-site. Plenty of kookaburras around to see and hear as well as the occasional kangaroo. Dogs loved playing in the nearby creek and there were large open areas for the dogs to roam and explore, with plenty of firewood laying around for you to collect. Particularly liked the fire pit set up with the rocks/stones containing the fire pit. I was a bit worried about how the toilet will be, but I was pleased to see that the toilet was clean and well maintained. Camp-site was also well maintained. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and were very responsive to messages, bringing delicious fresh eggs promptly when we had requested them. Kookaburra was easy to find and get to from Sydney and as per other reviews, it was very quiet and serene. As with most camp-sites and remote areas, the reception was not the best, but devices could still be used (if required). We all had a great time and would definitely consider returning to this camp-site. Considering the reasonable cost of booking, I would recommend this camp-site!
