Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Danny’s place was absolutely incredible — the perfect combination of peaceful nature, fresh mountain air, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Danny made us feel welcome and well-looked-after. The land is stunning, quiet, and full of beautiful spots to explore and relax. We came for a short getaway and left completely recharged. The scenery, the clean fresh water, the tranquillity of the bush, and the feeling of privacy made our stay unforgettable. Danny was always helpful, answered all our questions, and guided us with everything we needed. You can truly feel how much care and effort he puts into maintaining such a unique place. Whether you want fishing, nature, walking, or just switching off from the world — this place is perfect. We are already planning to come back. Loved camping here over the weekend! There were plenty of nice spots to choose from all surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We spotted some kangaroos and wombats and got to see and hear many various species of birds. Jake was super friendly and helpful with showing us around his farm. He stopped to check up a couple times and just to have a few chats while we were walking around and while up at the spa We walked around the farm saw the cows and checked out the waterhole. Not huge, but a cute little natural pool, discovered some yabbies and tadpoles. We played with puppy ‘Rabbit’ and watched as she learnt how to work on the farm with the cows. The spa was spacious, clean and the perfect temperature. Enjoyed the amazing views from up there! We made a green tree frog friend who didn’t mind sharing the water with us too. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Jake! Overall great experience :)

We had the most amazing stay at Canyon Camping! The property was beautifully maintained and surrounded by incredible natural scenery. The location is the perfect balance between feeling remote and peaceful, yet still being easily accessible. The host (Lyn) was so warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell that they genuinely care about the experience they provide. The property was spotless, with multiple campsites to choose from. Whether you’re there for a quiet weekend, a hike through the canyon, or just to disconnect and unwind, this property ticks all the boxes. It’s perfect, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend Canyon Camping it’s an absolute standout!

The drive to this campsite is absolutely stunning. So were the views from where we stayed. We were 3 families with a mix of young kids to teens and everyone had a fabulous time. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, and it’s very peaceful. Not too crowded, hot showers and good toilets. You can feed the cows, chickens and lamb, and the swimming hole was a neat little spot for the kids to hang in.

Fantastic camping spot! Plenty of room to choose any site which suits you. Great for small or large groups. Plenty of grass, flat areas and shade. We loved the camp fire areas scattered around the property, and we chose a site which had log seats which were handy! Jacob the host was very informative and helpful. Good amenities- the spa looking out to the canyon looked amazing (we didn't use it on this trip, but will next time) Scenery is world class.... we did the walk to the rim of Capertee Canyon from the property, which was challenging but we were rewarded with the most amazing views ever! Not a lot of water in the swimming hole when we were there, however this is part of natural bush camping. We did day trips to Glen Davis and Dunns Swamp which were both a good accessible distance from the camp. We would definitely recommend staying there!

Jacob and Mandy were wonderful hosts. The kids loved visiting the cows, chickens and sheep and playing in the creek and swimming hole. There was lots of space between fellow campers and making a fire at night was great. Jacob took us for a 4WD excursion to a wonderful spot overlooking the valley. Lots of fun was had. We will be back.

We loved camping at Wallaby Flat! The location is beautiful. Lovely shallow creek adjacent to the campground, with some deeper swimming spots nearby. Great for a large group - we had around 20 people - and there was still lots of space for cricket & frisbee :) Appreciated the toilet and sink facilities too - just made it all very easy. We loved our long weekend getaway, and will be back! Thanks Danny!
