Welcome to Capitol Reef Country! Road to the Sun Ranch is located in beautiful Grover, Utah (elev 7,200') along Scenic Highway 12, one of the most scenic drives in the United States. We are a pet friendly RV only campsite. The property is a short 6 mile drive from the quaint town of Torrey, host of the annual Fort Desolation Festival and 15 miles by car from Capitol Reef National Park. Our location provides RV travelers with an ideal base camp for exploring the natural wonders of this region of Southern Utah and the majestic Boulder Mountain. The property consists of mostly pasture land, desert sage, pinyon pine trees and panoramic mountain views. The ranch is surrounded by some of the most amazing scenery anywhere and endless outdoor opportunities! We have a single (self check-in) RV/trailer/van parking area complete with water, power, sewer, WiFi and picnic table. All guests MUST have their own bathroom, clean up after pets and pack out any trash. We are unable to accommodate tent or car camping anywhere on the property unless you are with a group that has a trailer or RV equipped with a bathroom available for use during your stay and no open wood burning fires are permitted at this time. Max trailer length is 28'. Max RV length is 35'. Class A motor homes are not recommended. Livestock enjoy the adjacent pastures during Summer and Fall months typically (June-September). The view was beautiful, although it was super windy and raining I still enjoyed it! It was somewhat hard to find- the written directions were not accurate but once we just drove we found it! Beautiful views but around the sites it seemed like a lot of random stuff!

What a lovely place to stay! My sister and I brought our two very young kids and they LOVED all the animals and the open space to run around and play. Such beautiful views and easily accessible to hikes and so much more beauty! The kitchenette and bathrooms were well maintained and so appreciated. We were also grateful for the heater that kept us cozy during chilly nights. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Very clear directions and instructions. It was wonderful having full hook-up! And an extra nice surprise to receive a gift of coffee! Thank you! It was close to the parks we wanted to visit and our dog enjoyed some off-leash time with us. We very much enjoyed our stay there and most definitely would stay again.

Privacy and views were great. The hookups were straightforward (especially once I got the longer connector hose that was available to borrow) and well maintained. The host qas responsive and helpful but not intrusive. Five stars... And thousands more to see above with the great dark sky conditions. My wife and I loved staying here.

The tent was spacious, bed was comfortable, and the views at any time of day or night were just perfect. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the the bathrooms and kitchenette, too! My stay at Wildland Garden, was absolutely perfect! The tents were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. Waking up to stunning mountain views and crisp, fresh air made my stay unforgettable. Carrie Ann went above and beyond to make sure everything was spotless and well-stocked, from cozy bedding to little touches like lanterns and firewood. The location is peaceful and private but still close enough to explore nearby trails and scenic spots. I can’t recommend this place enough – the ideal getaway for anyone wanting a unique and luxurious outdoor experience!

We stayed for one night on a long cross-country trip, so our stay was short, but very sweet!
Carrie Ann was responsive and accommodating. The glamping tent was cute, spacious, and comfortable.
The bathroom/kitchen were a huge huge plus, and very clean.
The property was beautiful and we had an incredible view of the night sky. I would highly recommend a stay here!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Carrie’s campground. Carrie and her husband were very welcoming and informative. They gave us some great recommendations and we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. The amenities and the facilities were superb. We are very simple people and needed minimal things at camp. We also came across other campers during our stay and enjoyed each other’s company. This is a very peaceful and community-based camp, if that doesn’t sound like you, please keep looking.

Absolutely luxurious glamping site in a quiet space only a few steps off of Route 70! The tent was huge, comfortable, and felt very private. The shared bathroom/kitchenette was genius and very clean. Lovely property with great views of the nearby mountains, loads of singing birds, and beautiful little farm! Would recommend to absolutely anyone. :)
