Beautiful spot on the Carbon River. If you want view of river from your sleeping bag, bring your tent. Also best to bring port-a-potty and pack it out. It's too close to the river for the 200 feet away from water source for digging hole. Or use the host's toilet in his home. Pat will be adding a communal port-a-potty soon. Pat is warm, friendly and a very caring, hospital host. The property is off leash dog friendly. My dog had best vacation ever playing with Pat's dogs.
The camphost was extremely hospitable, accommodating, and very responsive to questions. We were traveling with kids and a puppy...fun was had by all! This campground is a must for dog lovers & owners. We enjoyed the sound of the river and being able to set up camp right next to it. The river moves pretty quickly so be prepared with life jackets and ropes.
It was really nice and private. Getting to choose your own spot was a great feature. Pat and his dogs are wonderful. It’s really a cool piece of property. I would recommend it to a friend
