Description
When a park has eight campgrounds, like Lake Whitney Park does, it can feel like people outnumber trees -- so if you want the “communing with nature” experience, try to snag a spot at Sunset Ridge. The campground sits on at the easternmost end of the park and only has seven campsites, so it’s pretty secluded. Each site also comes with water and electric hookups, and the wildlife-rich Towash Forest hiking trail starts nearby.
