Punderson Lake State Park Campground, set on the largest and deepest kettle lake in Ohio, offers a perfect escape from the city. With enough summertime activities to satisfy even the most restless of souls and vegetation as diverse as the animal population, you’ll have a tough time deciding what to share on social media first. Luckily there’s Wi-Fi everywhere so you can post away if you have any free time between hitting the golf course, spotting beavers, fishing, or enjoying all of the other excellent activities within your reach. Wintertime activities including sledding, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing are stellar here too!

If I hadn't of camped on the Fourth of July, this would have been a great campground! Campsites are relatively private, with some that have lake views. A very short hike the other side of the lake (by the castle thing? With a restaurant?) was a must do. Frogs were plentiful and fun to spot. There is also a small "beach" on the other side of the lake. I'm not sure that I would hop in there, but kids would love it. Dogs were not "allowed" on the beach either.
