The river runs wild through Sacandaga Campground, especially in the spring where you’ll find white water rapids, perfect for adventurous canoeing and kayaking. You’re also close to fabulous hiking, scenic waterfalls, and splendid mountain landscapes. Many of the spacious campsites are perched right on the banks of the river where you can fall asleep listening to the songs of sweet, rolling water as it makes its way to the sea.

The campground is huge. Important thing to keep in mind, the sites close to the main road (~30ish) are REALLY close to the road. It is really loud, they are very tight, with almost no privacy and small sites.
